Sat in the churchyard for a while then had a look inside the church. Like many churches I've visited in Denmark, it has a ship hanging from the ceiling - two in fact in this church. It's not something we see in the UK but apparently it's a "votive ship", often made and given as a gift to the church by local seamen and ship builders.
The font was rough-hewn stone which contrasted dramatically with the opulence if the altar and the pulpit.
The church sure at the brow of a hill at the end of the main street. Pop in if you're in Bogense - it's worth it.
Again, visiting old churches is one of my favourite things to do on my semi annual trip to Denmark. This one is located overlooking the sea. Love it.
