This is a great place to stay if you are visiting nearby Olympia. It is a bit difficult to find when you are driving from Olympia, but once you get on the main roads there are ample signs for the hotel that you can follow. The hotel is located in a traditional non-touristy small town. It makes a nice walk if you want to see how everyday Greeks live and there is also a little hike you can take down into the valley to see a spring.
The hotel itself is charming, decorated with antiques and unique art. There is a small pool which is handy since they are not near the sea. Try to get a room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful valley. You would never know now that they had experienced devastating fires not many years ago. The bathroom was not particularly clean, but it was fine for our needs.
One of the big draws of the hotel is its dining room. Once you land here, there is no need to eat anywhere else. The breakfast, which is included in the price of the room, is ample with the usual line up of yogurt, ham, cheese, etc. But where they really excel is in their homemade baked goods. So be sure to try their homemade cheese pie and bougatsa for breakfast even if you are trying to be virtuous.More
