I really cannot understand why people have anything negative to say about this hotel. This was our first 'all inclusive' holiday and we were a little concerned about what we would get. Arriving late on a friday evening we thought we may be too late for any food, but after checking in were greeted by Andreas the restaurant manager who advised we were still in time for the evening meal. Despite being almost 10pm there was still plenty of hot food available. After dinner we went to the bar to find plenty of choice from the all inclusive deal, soft drinks, coffee, beer, spirits and cocktails all available, with a selection of late bites for those that were still peckish
I am happy to say that the bar closed at midnight which meant everybody had the chance of an uninterupted nights sleep.
The choice for the breakfast was very comprehensive, make sure you visit the servery to the far right , where local sausage and omlette and waffle were available.Lunch was poolside followed by snacks and kids tea, so you can eat all day if you want.
During our week we visited Aqualand using a taxi booked by reception (40eu return), Paleokastritsa by local bus (2.30eu ea way), and Corfu town by local bus (1.10eu or 1.50eu ea way). All trips were very straightforward, the bus stops are at the bottom of the hotel driveway. The Calypso boat and sea lions from Corfu town was good at (14eu or 8eu for child), but the yellow submarine from Paleo may offer a better view of the sealife. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpfull, the Thomson reps were brilliant and very knowledgeable about anything we asked.Hats off to the animation team who work alongside the reps to provide plenty of great entertainment during the day and evenings.
This is a family resort, so don't be surprised by loud kids, poolside music and games from 11am til 5pm. Be prepared to join in and have some fun, we won the poolside quiz one afternoon, and have just drunk the 'quiz fizz'. The grounds are large enough to take yourself away from the poolside if you want some quiet time, after leaving the kids in the excellent 'kids club' organised by Thomsons. For anybody wanting a great time without having to spend a fortune, this is a good place to start. We would definately consider going back.

Room tip: Splash out and spend the extra £14.00 for the sea view.

Firstly - This is a FAMILY resort and is clearly stated numerous times on the web and in the brochure so people who go there and complain that there are too many kids blah, blah, blah it's your own fault!

Positives - Great variety of things to do for our 2.5 year old / all inclusive means no extra expense / food quality and variety better than expected / quality of local sourced beer/spirits / grounds and open spaces / location for beach / twin pools / staff friendliness / ndreas welcoming you every night

Negatives - Food not warm enough (I know there is a microwave but you shouldn't have to reheat food in any restaurant / trying to get toast cooked toasters are useless / rooms are slightly small / inconsiderate families who let their kids scream and shout up and down corridors when their parents must know that some kids are sleeping in an afternoon / people not knowing that you can shut a door without slamming it / some parents having no control over their kids on an evening

Room tip: Don't have a sea view as the rooms are noisier

Dear guest,

We thank you for your review and for choosing the Louis Kerkyra Golf as your holiday accommodation.

We are happy to see that you much enjoyed the location, as well as the quality and the variety of the food on offer, the drinks and spirits, the facilities and the activities, and of course our friendly and courteous staff, especially our wonderful Andreas, who is always running around to make sure everything is perfect! We are sorry for the noise and hopefully this will not prevent you from returning back to our hotel. Regarding the food, we will definitely address this matter and make sure that guests will not have to make use of the microwaves to reheat food. Nevertheless, we would like to remind you that the microwaves are mainly there for parents who would like to reheat the special food for their babies. Thank you also for the suggestions regarding the toaster, and we shall be looking into these with immediate effect.

Thank you once again and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to one of our Louis Hotels!

Best regards

Just got back following a two week family holiday with 7yr and 4yr old. The hotel is very clean , staff very friendly (Andreas the restraunt manager must hold the world record for greeting and kissing he and all the staff were outstanding) . This has been the most relaxing holiday i have had in a long time. There is so much space people were spread out so it never felt buisy. You could sit in the sun, shade by the pool, beach or on the grass fantastic. Great if you have a toddler they were running around all over the grassy areas. Food was good entertainment was good cocktail bar area was great on a evening and lots of friendly people. There is a pool (could be bigger) and a toddler pool or the quiet beach very shallow in streches and as warm as a bath. The transfer time is great and its only a 1 euro 15min bus ride into corfu town. Apart from your spirits all other drinks were self service so no queing for drinks. Food was available from breakfast until 12pm and overall very good , you also have sandwiches and cakes only after 9am so you dont spent much when your on the resort if you want a late night snack. It felt very safe to let the kids have a bit of freedom around the hotel and would recommend this thomson hotel to all familys.

Room tip: Sea view but we did not get the sun on our balcony

Just returned 15/06/12 and what a fab time we had. The Thompson reps were great and the kids loved it. The evening entertainment was ok but but not the best weve seen. Weather was red hot in the 30's and with its own beach was ideal for cooling off. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very polite and friendly . The food was good but some days nicer than others , with the restaurant manager Andreas greeting you every evening . There was an evening buffet of fresh sandwiches , cakes and salads available until midnight. We loved the bar with its tranquil settings over looking the sea very relaxing with great views. The soft drinks , beer and wine were all self serve which meant no queueing and a wide selection of cocktails were available from the barman. I would definitely recommend a visist to Corfu town its amazing .

We stayed from Friday May 18th to June 1st. We flew from Birmingham with our 9 year old twins and 17month old toddler which took us just over 3 hours.

Driving to the hotel from Corfu Airport we were slightly anxious to what we were going to turn up to as the views from the coach were of quite a run down place with a lot of graffiti and dilapidated shop fronts. This was to be found unnecessary as the hotel is set back from the road down a long drive and the grounds are total opposite to the views from the airport.

Our room was slightly smaller than we are used to as we normally go self catering but sufficed for what we needed it for, generally just sleeping and showering as we didn't spend much time in the room. It was cleaned daily with towels also daily changed.

This is a fabulous hotel for family's with young children, the entertainment reps work tirelessly day and night with the main focus on the kids. The twins attended kids club for the first time this year and enjoyed every minute of it, the Thompson kids team really do give there all into making sure the kids are enjoying themselves and having a great time with every day being a different activity. The kids were 9 while we were on holiday and kids club reps made them a card and came up to our room with Thompson the dog and a small gift which we thought was wonderful and really made them feel special. We purchased a cake for them (15 euros) and the restaurant manager got everyone to sing happy birthday, much to my lads embarrassment we thought it was a lovely touch!!

Pool was quite cold due to the time of year so my little one didn't enjoy it but It didn't stop the older ones playing in it. My youngest enjoyed the two parks though which was great to break up the day with him,

The older ones loved catching crabs and fish from the gorgeous shallow water at the small man made beaches. The one to the left of the volleyball is slightly larger and quite serene.

The grass area is huge so If your not into lazing by the pool you can get away from it If you want to. There were plenty of loungers on the grass area when we went in May, not sure how this would be in high season.

Food in the afternoon served pool area was good and hot, drinks were great too. Food in the evening was generally to a good standard, a few days weren't great but I suppose a couple of ropey days out of 14 isn't too bad. Food isn't very hot to be fair but there are microwaves!! Not sure If that's to everyone's liking but it is an option.

Overall this is a fantastic family hotel with stunning views and a really nice atmosphere. I can't understand why there has been negative comments about kids running around etc. This is advertised as a family hotel so with hundreds of kids in one place it's not going to be the quietest of places. If people want a less noisy holiday without dodging pushchairs the perhaps they should go to one of Thompson's child free hotels as It's called Thompson FAMILY Resort it's quite self explanatory.

The only negatives is that apart from the boat excursions and a bus trip to the town theres no where to have a stroll out side of the hotel as it's on a busy duel carriageway with no safe paths. It would of been nice to take little one for a stroll and have a change of scenery while kids were in kids club. It would also be nice t have an hour in the afternoon with out the music, just a personal preference i suppose!!

We had a super holiday and the kids loved it, we wouldn't go back purely because of it's location but is never the less a great family hotel!!
