We only stayed here one night - and it was one night too many. The (supposedly 4-star) hotel is crumbling and overpriced but I could let that go if the staff was at least friendly. The manager at this hotel literally told us we were wasting our time complaining to him about things like the state of our room (sink that wouldn't drain, things falling off the wall, etc.) and the rude staff. He couldn't care less. It seems that some bus tours use this hotel so they fill up without trying at all to provide even a minimum of customer service. I would highly advise looking elsewhere.

Renovated mansion to hotel accomodation 4star. Great character and we loved it. Service was wonderful, staff very helpful. However, lift is only really for two people with luggage and can be slow. Things don't always work how I imagined. Not that accessible for people's with disabilities as shower in baths and rooms in some levels have split 2 story rooms, beds upstairs. Rooftop bar and restaurant a plus and worth the view.

This may have been a 4 four hotel many, many years ago, but now it’s an overpriced two star mess with shockingly rude staff who don’t care and have an open disdain for their customers. We chose this place for the loation and because they supposedly have a nice rooftop bar—but we were there for two days in late June and, not only was it not open, but they wouldn’t even let us look at it for a moment to take a photo.

Our family room—number 10—was falling apart—molding coming off of the walls, two skins which did not drain, an AC unit that did not work, and saggy poor quality beds. And the staff did not care. Breakfast and front desk staff were shockingly rude. Poor breakfast selection and they leave the milk sitting out without ice or refrigeration for hours at a time. When we complained, they told us to go to another hotel if we didn’t like it. Why patronize a place like this?

The location of this hotel is perfect, my room overlooked the harbour and Old Fortress.
The rooms are a little dated and basic and the air conditioning didn't work very well though my room was on a corner so had a nice breeze going through.
The rooftop bar has incredible views of the town and the staff were friendly and happy to remain open for as long as anyone wanted.

Room Tip: Get a corner room overlooking the fortress

First of all, I'm a lover of historical hotels. I prefer staying in a place with beautiful architecture and rich history to a tasteless modern concrete boxes. The fact that Cavalieri occupying a 17th century building weighed in a lot during my search for hotels in Corfu. The hotel itself still has a vintage feeling, and it seems the interior decoration has changed little since For Your Eyes Only was shot here in 1980. The service was great, too. We arrived early at 9 am, but they cleaned the room and allowed us to check in within 20 minutes of our arrival, bravo! Our room was spacious and had a small balcony with a good view. The facilities were quite up to date, there was a refrigerator in the room, and the wifi connection was way faster than the modern hotel we stayed in Athens. The rooftop restaurant has an amazing view, which everyone visiting Corfu should check out.

Room Tip: You will need a higher floor room with ocean view to see the Old Fortress unobstructedly.
