The Arcadion sits facing the main square, Spianada, and adjacent to Liston with its numerous bars and restaurants under the colonnades The Old Fortress ( well worth a visit ) is but a short stroll away and the squares and narrow streets of the Old Town are right behind you. McDonald s is right underneath you which you may consider a blessing or a curse.
The hotel interior is traditional and beautifully furnished which continues into the bedrooms. It may be worth paying the premium for a front facing room which will afford some lovely views particularly if you are up and about at sunrise. Decent breakfast buffet but served in a rather cramped space.
Only criticism is that in our room the air con was pretty hopeless and made little impression on the 33 C temperature so rather a hot and sticky night. In fairness we did not give the hotel a chance to fix it as we were only staying the one nightMore
