Everything about this place is awesome : the location, the staff, the beds, the sheets, the breakfast... Everything. What they did with this house is nothing short of amazing. Try the breakfast, it's worth every cent. The crepe with honey and walnuts is to die for.

This hotel is located in an old venetian house. The rooms are nicely decorated, the bathroom are functional - though a bit smelly. No elevator, and steep stairs.
There is a certain charm to it, and I would say it is an excellent value for the money (62 euros a night in May).
The owners are very nice, and helpful.
The only downside: the noise of revellers - until the early hours of morning (5am...)

Lovely hotel right in middle of old town. Easy to get anywhere.
Amazing room with archways. Very friendly staff.
Recommended us to have dinner at the Avli restaurant which is possibly the best food we have had in Crete.

We really appreciated our travel agent for finding this gem for us. It was a fully modern hotel in a 1400's body. Situated in Old Town, Rethymnon, away from the big city of Heraklion, it was down a quiet alley but close to the market, restaurants and the port. Breakfast, served 'en plein air,' was delicious and relaxing. The staff were all very helpful - including carrying our bags up and down two flights of stairs. Installing an elevator would have been contrary to the building's heritage! The room was large, the fixtures were modern but it felt like going back in time. Parking was some distance away, but the car was not needed during our stay. It was pleasant walking down the cobblestone streets and greeting the locals.
