We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights in September. Very clean and well run place. Location was perfect for us, in the heart of old town, close to everything, but quiet and peaceful once you were inside. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff (Elli and Andriana) was amazing - so helpful and genuinely good-natured - we will always remember them with a smile. I damaged my camera lens on a trip to Chania and ended up spending a few hours on the phone trying to find a replacement, and Elli went above and beyond trying to assist. The pool looked really good, but we did not get a chance to use it. We were Few minor nitpicks - rooms don't have a phone that can dial outside. And the AC automatically shuts off once you leave the room with your keycard - room can get a bit stuffy on hot days when you come back. We would love to go back some day :)

Beautiful boutique hotel tucked away in the back streets behind Rethymnon harbour. Magnificent refurb, big king size four poster bed, jacuzzi type bath, luxuriously appointed rooms. But best of all is Eli the welcoming woman who looked after our every need and provided a breakfast that was beyond belief. Great service makes a good hotel great and Eli is a gem.

Room tip: Just come and enjoy a lovely hotel...

Our stay did not start off well. First we had rented a car and had no idea where we were going. Because the hotel is in the old part of town where no cars are allowed, you have to park about a half a block away in a lot. We had not thought to ask what to put in out GPS to find the lot. After a very frustrating hour or so wandering around and asking people, we found the hotel. We had booked a junior suite and requested a quiet room with a shower because some rooms have only tubs. But when we got there our room had only a tub. We were grouchy and testy but the woman at the desk in the lobby was so kind and apologetic that it was simply impossible to stay angry. She did show us a room with a shower but she noted that it might be a little more noisy because it faced the street. We stayed in the original room and loved it. The room was comfortable with a balcony that overlooked the pool, which is quite nice even if it is a bit small. Our bathroom was lovely marble and the room was a nice size, nicely decorated and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. The hotel is quiet (we never hear a peep from another guest even thought the hotel was full) and in a great location very close to many good restaurants and shops. But the charm of this hotel comes from the three women who work at the front desk. They each went out of they way to be helpful and gracious. I mentioned that a particular cake served at breakfast looked good but I had already eaten too much to have a piece. When we returned from the days excursion two pieces of the cake were awaiting my husband and I in our room! Upon our departure they gave Us a bottle of wine! They helped arrange tours and gave us very good advice on where to eat. Stay here if you can!

We came across this hotel on trip advisor and hoped it would live up to the raving reviews it has got on here..... Luckily, it did! Parking was easy and about a 5 min walk away and relatively cheap for a week. The staff were very welcoming and offered us plenty of refreshments and helped as much as they could to give advice on different places to go and visit. The girls who run the hotel are utterly charming and nothing is too much trouble. They will also prepare you a packed breakfast/lunch if you are leaving early for day trips.

The room was fantastic. We had a room at the front with a balcony but it was not loud at all. Temperature in mid August in the room was perfect with good air conditioning and the large room and good bathroom made our stay feel very spacious and luxurious! The room service is very thorough and everything about this hotel is done to the very best standards. Pool was also brilliant and exceptionally clean and quiet.

We absolutely loved our stay at Antica (we took a suite on the first floor). Everything ranked 5-star, from rooms to amenities, breakfast and most certainly service. The ladies running the hotel are all amazing, very friendly and helpful, our two year old loved them. The breakfast changes everyday and is delicious with many local dishes. Parking is very close by and they are willing to meet you there to help with luggages. It is in the perfect location, and highly recommended for families.
