Stayed for 2 nights in mid-October. Beautiful property on the outskirts of Elounda. Compared to other places we stayed at in Crete, this one has slightly dated décor and feels older. However, the staff are lovely and helpful. They upgraded us after first giving us a room overlooking reception (which is a shame when the rest of the rooms all have great views).
The private beach area – small but perfectly formed! Sea is quiet and calm in the area so it’s nice for a dip.
Easy access to Spinalonga with beautiful views of the island.
Jacuzzi with a view of Spinalonga – pretty hard to beat!
Friendly and helpful staff
Hotel seems popular with families but there were “quiet” (adult) zones in the restaurant and pool so you don’t have to mix with loud kids if you don’t want to.
Can walk into villages nearby for food even (car not necessary)
Food is expensive (€80 for 2 for a buffet dinner and we were on B&B rate). Breakfast choice was limited and not that good.
It’s on a hill so lots of stairs/uphills/downhills but they have golf carts to ferry you around if you want to
