I tried the apple pie and Cappuccino, they were delicious. The staff were friendly and the outdoor environment was very cozy.

We visited Chania town 3 times during our holiday, of course 3 times visiting this bakery.
Have tried spanakopita, baklava, and bougatsa (sorry for the lady after me while eating the last bougatsa in the store). All very nice and great Greek coffee.
I expected more due to the good reviews. We had breakfast which consisted of " plastic" ham and cheese, poor bread and "airline" marmalade. Just processed food in an area full of great local natural food. Tourist rip off I'm afraid.
Until you tried it, you didn’t know you were craving or a Cretan breakfast at Kromoranos. The quality of the food is simply astonishing. I would strongly recommend the Bougasta and all the other Cretan specialties. The small street it is located in is extremely charming and the boutique hotels are all extremely well decorated (if a bit expensive). It is also easy to discuss with others patrons as everyone is in a good mood to be there.
My favourite cafe in Chania Town. Coffee, breakfasts, beer, raki, pastries and light snacks as you watch the daily parade up and down picturesque Theotokopoulou Street.
My second choice is fhe kafeneon Meltemi is at 2 Angelou and its tables look east across the harbour to the former mosque, now an art gallery. A very good selection of coffee, beer, omelettes , pies and other snacks. This cafe makes a very brief appearance in the film version of 'The Two Faces of January' when Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen and (pre-Stars Wars) Oscar Isaac share a table together.
