We stayed at the Fatma Hanoum for three nights at the end of our trip to Greece. The hotel had been booked by the Athens-based travel agent we used. He clearly picked a great place. We were in the Guzel suite, which was very large and comfortable. We were only able to partake of breakfast one of the three mornings that we were there because we had early morning starts the other two mornings, but the breakfast we did have was quite nice.

You really could not find a better location in Chania, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. If I could have, I would have given this property 4.5 out of 5.

My only slight nit is that the bathtub and shower in our suite used an old clawfoot tub and getting out of it and onto the potentially slippery tile floor was a bit more adventure than I typically like to experience from taking a shower.

Room Tip: Just know that there are no elevators - some rooms require two flights of stairs to get to.

This hotel is exactly as described and illustrated on its website. Our room had the balcony to front which was lovely to people watch and nice to have the outside space though there is also a large roof terrace with umbrellas for communal use.
Everything was lovely, right from the friendly greeting quite late on at night when we were shown to our room and had everything explained to us, through to checking out.
Breakfast in the lovely dining room was excellent with huge amount of choice and beautifully displayed.
Staff are great, always a welcome greeting on passing through reception.
Everything is immaculate and room was very stylish and comfortable with everything one needs-real coffee, great mini bar, good toiletries, fluffy towels etc etc.
Very well located right in the centre of the old part of town, yet a calm oasis to return to.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Our front facing room had a balcony onto the quiet little street

We had a wonderful time at the Fatma. Marianna is the most welcoming person and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. She also arranged a wonderful send off breakfast basket for our early morning departure. I will defiantly be staying here again.

Our flight was delayed by nearly two hours which meant we didn't get to our hotel until very late in the night. However, on arrival we were greeted as if it was the middle of the day - what a wonderful reception. We were shown to our room and shown where everything was. Nothing was ever too much for the staff at this hotel. They went out of their way to help us whether it was with directions, recommendation of a good restaurant or even a request for a clothes iron!!! I cannot praise the staff in this hotel enough.... I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel. It was spotless, room cleaned every day, linen and towels changed on request and the staff were absolutely marvelous. We're definitely heading back there as soon as possible!

Room Tip: rooms on the top floor have balconies - a definite requirement in the heat of Crete

Dear guest, thank you for your heartily review on us! Words of appreciation are the best for us, showing that the effort we give is well received. Being here, even in case of a delay, is the least we can do. Being positive and helpful is our standpoint, so that all of our guests can relax and feel just like home away from home. We would be happy to get to have you again in the future, to provide you with memories worth reminiscing once again! Βest Regards, Marianan Gypaki
