There was no shuttle service, as advertised. When we requested it before leaving home we were just emailed a number of a taxi.
We arrived to a closed hotel with our suitcases. Eventually a man arrived and said we have to stay in another hotel for the night as Odos Oneiron had plumbing problems. The next day we got into our room to find the Private Balcony did not exist, there was no Reception, the advertised Jazz Club was closed, there was no bar or lounge area, the aircon did not work initially (my husband managed to get it working in the end), that evening we realised we had no hot water which was rectified the next morning when a member of staff realised they had forgotten to turn it on at the mains board. At time of booking we had requested a shower, as my husband has a bad back and cannot use a bath. The owner confirmed this would be the case. However, our bathroom only had a free standing bath and hand held shower attachment for hair washing purposes.
Worst of all was the Bed - we had never seen a smaller double bed. The mattress was so hard, it was like sleeping on a brick and completely unsuitable for someone with back problems!
Eventually the owner agreed to meet us at the property. He seemed a reasonable man and said because he didn't want our holiday spoilt he would refund our money, as he would have no difficulty in reletting the room. Because we believed him we moved out and booked another hotel. We had arranged to meet him the next day when he was supposed to give us our refund. He did not turn up and subsequently ignored all our phone calls, texts and messages. We never heard from him again.
We went back to the property to find he had relet our room.
So this unscrupulous man got paid twice for the same room.
Avoid this hotel!

We stayed at "odos oneiron" for three nights..the location was perfect (very close to everything) and the room spacious enough. The cons of the room was that they didn' t clean it the three days we were there ( towels, toilet paper) and i also saw a small dead bug in the first moment we got inside. My conclusion for the room is that it could be better as it has the ability to be a very nice room. It should be better or cheaper as it didn't worth the money of a 4 star suite room.

Stayed there for four nights.

Excellent location (no need of a car), at 100-200 meters from the Olde Venitian Harbour.

This is an ancient perfectly refurbished building, which has kept its unique caracter.

All facilities available (even a fully operational kitchen).

SPOTLESS clean.

Of course, this is an hotel in the Old town (the best place to stay when in Chania); therefore, there is some noise (more noise than in an beach hotel but this is normal) ; nevertheless, had absolutely no problem to sleep (just close th window and it is over).

Excellent value for money.

Would absolutely go back.

As happens fairly often in Greece (based on TripAdvisor reviews), our booked hotel room (at Odos Oneiron) was not available (overbooked?) when we arrived, but we were sent to a nearby hotel (Ionas Boutique Hotel) for our substitute rooms. The new place was lovely, and more than acceptable, however it was not the suite style I had originally booked with a kitchenette and a dining area, although it did offer free breakfast. That was not a concern for us, but it might have distressed other travelers.
