Unpretentious staff and atmosphere with outside tables close to the harbor. Decided to go with two fish specials of the day which we were told were caught that morning by the fishermen sitting at the corner table. The dishes were fabulous and tasted as fresh as we expected. Also ordered sauteed succory which was prepared perfectly. Portions were large enough to fill us but we did have room for the complimentary Raki and dessert

So, we visited this restaurant with some friends on August 2017. Am a Greek living abroad so I have a very specific image of what a traditional fish tavern should be like and I was not let down. The food is very good and the fish is always fresh, caught and grilled by the owners themselves. In the menu one can also find a unique dish called "htapodokeftedes" which is basically small burgers made from Octopus, with a secret recipe of course. Very tasty indeed! Other than that, the owners-pavlos and vaggelis- do a very fine job in coordinating the place and offering a unique experience to the customers.
Dishes I definitely suggest: kakavia, htapodokeftedes and prawn-omelette, each one very special and very tasty. And fish of course!

Good fresh fish, like it is supposed to be, good value for money. But! One of our party of 5 ordered a sea bass and got a dorade (= sea bream and much cheaper) instead. When we made the remark to the boss he said: no, no, this is a sea bass. We were prepared and showed him photos of sea bass and dorade from the internet. He then turned and said: but you ordered dorade.
Nothing wrong with the fish though, he was more than ok, very fresh, well prepared, but this should not happen! From then on he seemed to forget our table, he never looked at us again. I had to go and get the check myself and we did not get the usual ouzo after the meal either whereas all the other tables did. Think he was mad at us because we caught him with the hand in the cookie jar.

Came here on the first night of our holiday, and so glad we did. We ordered the seafood platter for two, which was a little more expensive than some other places. The bread to start was delicious, could tell it was freshly made. The platter was huge. We had shrimps, octopus, cuttlefish, fish fillet, sardines, muscles and probably forgetting others. Tasted fresh, lovely olive oil and lemon seasoning on top. Really delicious.

We tried other seafood platters during our holiday, and this was definitely the best one by far. Everything was cooked beautifully, the staff were welcoming (none of that dragging you in nonsense) and the view of the harbour is really nice. Would definitely recommend for seafood.

That was the last our day on Crete, so we wanted to eat a fish. We ordered sardines and some fish. Sardines were okish but the fish was like a chewing gum - local cat was happy.
Greek salat - we had better and much cheaper in local bars. I must day that it was the worst food and service that we had on Crete. The service was a joke. A young guy couldn't care less, his attitude was very bad. They charged us extra 2€ for something - the bill was in greek.
