We spent a few hours in this wonderful place full of history, half of that time looling at the monuments and reading descriptions, the other half staring outside the window on the Akropol hill. Definately the best view in town guaranteed! Not to be missed once in Athens.

Well worth the 3-4 hrs. Models of the Acropolis when it was newly built. Many, many relics. Explanations in English and Greek.

Beautiful exhibitions, great design - worth visiting! If you dislike standing in line to get to the Acropolis, then visit the museum in the morning and go to Acropolis in the afternoon, while most tourists do the opposite.

Wander around the Acropolis , then visit the museum to appreciate the treasures saved / discovered from over 2000 years ago.
The museum is modern, well laid out and spacious.
Lifts and escalators make it easy to get around , follow the route to understand the development and changes in Athens over time.
Nice cafe / terrace area.

This is a must do while in Athens. We chose to go to the Acropolis first and then went to the museum later. Glad we did it that way. The museum was phenomenal.
