This is an awesome place to stay. I stayed in their apartments which had a small balcony, kitchenette, and en suite. The place was clean, spacious and modern. The staff are really friendly and I totally recommend their walking tour. It was the highlight of my stay. Awesome rooftop bar that looks over the Acropolis lit up at night - is a great way to meet people. Meet some great people here and was more social than in other places. Very close to all the main attractions. Breakfast is toast, cheese, tomatoes and boiled eggs - make of that what you will.

Went in fall and totally recommend it!

I stayed here for 5 nights recently in a 6 bed ensuite dorm, room was clean bed was comfy, the shower was handheld which was a bit awkward and went hot and cold sometimes and the radiator in dorm was noisey.
The location is great within walking distance of most of Athens sights and only steps from the metro station. The staff were helpful and the 6 Euro walking tour was very good value.
The breakfst was basic but plentiful, I enjoyed toast with cream cheese and boiled eggs on top, tea and coffee available all day. The wi-fi was good and available throughout hostel, free.
The rooftop bar was closed so went to the Sports bar but not very much atmosphere but it was out of season.
Dorm had lockers but you need to take a padlock with you.
I would definately go again as was good value for the facilities and location.

This hostel made our stay in Athens one of the best vacations ever! It's at the perfect location, right on the doorstep of the Acropolis, and is right in the heart of a great restaurant district (definitely try God's Restaurant, it's amazing!). We were placed at the Athens studios, the first room we had was a 3 bedroom ensuite with kitchenette, and the second room we had was a 6-bedroom apartment which we shared with 3 other girls. Both rooms were great, and we could access them via a (tiny!) lift. The laundromat and sportsbar were just downstairs, which was very convenient for breakfast and washing. The 3 bedroom apartment in particular was really nice, and the bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water. Didn't use the kitchenette (too many great restaurants around to try out!) but it looked pretty well equiped in both apartments. The staff were super helpful, and there was plenty of free wifi available! Super close to the Metro station too! If I were to return to Athens again (and I hope one day I do) I'd definitely say here again! :)

Room Tip: The 3 bedroom ensuite apartment at the Athens Studios is really great! Definitely worth the few extr...

I stayed for 1 night on 22nd Sep 2009 in a 4 bunkbed room at EUR25/night (bf incl) and ensuite bathroom;

Pros
- The staff is nice and gives good advice. Especially the gentleman who takes us for pub crawl is awesome. Reception provides tour guidance and regular schedules of walking tours etc are noted on the boards.
- Free luggage safe keeping.
- You get to meet tourists from all over the world. I happened to meet lot of aussies who were all very nice. Met people from NZ, Israel, UK, Estonia, Canada, USA. It was really a great place to socialize. Had great fun at the pub crawl.
- Rooms are all new and beds are also in good shape. Ensuite bathroom is also good with warm water when needed. Amazingly a fridge, small stove and sink also provided in room. These dorms are used for long stays also like one off my room mate had gotten admission in an athens univ and was staying here while searching for apartment.
- At the roof bar also available is the Hookah or commonly know as "sheesha" Wikipedia says "is also known as a waterpipe or arghile, is a single or multi-stemmed (often glass-based) instrument for smoking in which the smoke is cooled by water. The tobacco smoked is referred to as shisha (sheesha)"
This item is a craze in Pakistan and india. And is fun when sitting in open air at the roof top

Cons
- Check-inn was tedious as first you go to an address given which is not the actual property but you get checked-inn and make payments, then you have to pay for towel and take it. and then drag your bags to another location at 5 mins walk. Both buildings have stairs which tires you especially if you've come after a long flight.
-Breakfast is too basic and that too at the roof top. That is you have to climb the stairs up to the top in the morning for it. Elevator was not available for some reason.
-Internet is paid and only 3 terminals are available, have to wait for turn.
- Elevator does not work.

Overall, except for few small annoying things, the stay was overall comfortable and I would return if backpacking again through athens.

Room Tip: Don't miss the roof top bar and the pub crawl that starts at 12 midnight. Shared rooms are all n...
