We chose this hotel because I am a Meliá rewards customer and I got a good rate at the hotel.
Located in a slightly run down and quiet area of the city (evidenced by the grafitti) and located about 20mins walk from the main shopping area, this modern hotel offers all the facilities you would expect from this hotel chain.
Check in was extremely pleasant and we were dealt with efficiently by the staff who were very nice in all our interactions throughout our stay.
The room was nice. Due to the location of the hotel, scenic views from the windows are not possible but the room itself was good and had a mini bar and safe and a nice bathroom. The room was a good size and we were comfortable in the bed.
As we were on the 8th floor, we were close to the roof top lounge and swimming pool. It's a city hotel and as you might expect the rooftop pool area is small so there is a bit of a fight for loungers and space. However there is a good view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. I would have to say that the bar and food prices and expensive compared to going outside but that is normal for every hotel I have stayed in.
Overall I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again if in Athens.More
