The free walking tour was perfect. Alexander was our guide. He has a lot of knowledge and he shares the interesting points with us. The was quite useful, we did it the first day. Therefore, we could make a perfect plan for the other days.

Thanks to Giorgos we had a wonderful tour of parts of Athens we would have never known or thought to visit. We started off at a small church, then on to the statue of Theseus and walked around a large archaeological site around the Agora. Great views of the Acropolis from a small hill, as well as visits (not entry to sites) to the Agora/Temple of Haphaestus/Hadrian's Library/ view of the rebuilt stoa from a distance, view of possible site of the old Athenian prison where Socrates was held. And all along the way, fascinating stories combining myth and history - we learnt loads. 2.5 hour tour. Bring water! And maybe a small snack :) Highly recommended.

Our family of 4 (2 parents & 2 teenagers) learned so much on our tour with Eva on Greek Independence Day (March 25th). This was our first full day in Athens and we were so happy they were holding a tour on the national holiday as it gave us a great overview of the city on our first day. Eva was very informative and even made the tour very entertaining for our 2 teenage sons! Euphrosyn (another guide) met us at the start and divided our very large group into 3 smaller tour groups (and we ended up with Eva as our guide). Six days after our tour, we ended up at a restaurant sitting right next to Euphrosyn and another guide/ & owner of Athens Free Tours (George). We did not recognize each other until having a very long conversation with them about politics, good places to visit/eat while we were in Athens, etc. We finally asked them about their jobs and they told us they worked for Athens Free Tours. We said we had had Eva as a wonderful guide 6 days earlier and Euphrosyn said she is very good friends with Eva. Then we realized we had met very briefly before the tour began! Such a small world but it just shows you that they are just kind people and willing to share their love of Athens even when they aren't on a tour. We so enjoyed this tour and all 3 guides we met along the way! And... will cherish our night of serendipity with Euphrosyn and George for many years to come! Don't miss a tour with this company -- they are great people and great guides!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're happy to hear you enjoyed your walk with Eva. However, one thing to note is that we (including Eva, George, and Euphrosyne) are the Athens Free Walking Tour, the oldest free tour in Athens. (The Athens Free Tour is a different company.)

I did the free walking tour of Athens today and can only highly recommend it. The guide Giorgio did an awesome job to teach major aspects of Athens history on 2.5 hours. He showed us many hidden jewels that I would have not visited if it wasn't for him. Would definitely recommend when in Athens!!!
