Description: - "To Trikyklo" (tricycle) is a cafeteria- tavern- bar, located next to the park of the Lambrakis hill, at the pedestrian of Pytheou str., in a renovated two-floor stone building of 1931, with its own yard and tables outside, on the pedestrian street in the summer. We are located very close to the Acropolis Museum and the Temple of Zeus. Although outside the tourist area of downtown Athens, we are very close to it on foot. The menu consists of authentic Greek and Mediterranean recipes, prepared with love and creativity. --All Greek (and other) spirits served, are carefully selected!

Loved this restaurant! Food was delicious, staff was so friendly and helpful in my food choices! Sitting outside watching the antics of the cats was so relaxing and gave me a sense of belonging to this amazing city! Would love to come back!

We have eaten here twice this week, service excellent, food really good (maybe too much, but just take it home for breakfast), great location, good Greek food, very reasonably priced, great music.

This was one of the best meals that we’ve had anywhere. It wasn’t just the food, which was excellent, but was an overall enjoyable experience.
The restaurant is away from the busy tourist area, about a 15-20 minute walk SE of the Acropolis museum.
Appetizers: fried feta, excellent; grilled Manouri excellent; fried meatballs, excellent; cooked greens and root vegetables, excellent; fennel pie, meh.
Farmers salad, excellent

Mains: Greek carbonara with house smoked bacon, excellent; veal with red wine sauce, good but a bit sweet and a bit one note.

Dessert, excellent.

Had a house red wine that had been aged in an oak barrel, unusual but good.

Our server was excellent and gave us several nice descriptions which made our choices easier.
The menu has large and small sizes of nearly every entre. The small size is more than large enough, especially with a couple appetizers. All of the prices are exceptionally reasonable.
We walked away with more than full stomachs at an excellent value, and an overall great dining experience.

We visited once again, this time mid week with a friendly couple for dinner and a chat after work. The staff was friendly as always, we had the house wine, some great raki and a variety of dishes to share. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection, the service was fast and efficient, the check more than reasonable since we insisted not to split but make it our treat. Overall a great evening out and planning a bigger dinner party once the weather clears.
