Only 4 euro a person, it take about 1 to 2 hour to finish the tour. Many staircase to walk, They told me the lift not working. A lot of painting, walk painting from the old building , old gospel book. Go and see for yourself. And there is the nice cafe too.

Regardless of your religious beliefs, one cannot deny the beauty of the artwork. The museum takes you through the centuries of Christian art in Greece. There are many representations of the Madonna and Child, as well as images of Jesus Christ - all similar but very different. There are ancient books, coins and many other religious artifacts within the museum. I think I spent a couple of hours wandering through this museum. You should see for yourself.

We arrived the Byzantine Museum after a walk up Likovitas Hill. I wanted something unusual and had the best grilled Portobello mushrooms. The setting was classy and so was the cuisine because that is exactly how I would describe the food....cuisine.

This Museum displays Byzantine Artworks in chronological fashion.
It includes many icons and underlines how their styles evolved over time.

If you want to experience the history of Greece you need to see the Byzantine Museum. It covers the period after the Acropolis during the height of the Orthodox Church. It has one of the finest displays of ancient icons you will see. Small children will not enjoy it.
