Overall a gorgeous hotel and I think the very best in Athens. I toured the entire city and didn't see anything better (or even close).
Most impressive is the top floor restaurant with amazing views of the Acropolis and Parthenon.
The upstairs pool and bar are also lovely.
The rooms are traditional and comfortable.
I didn't understand the value of the Butler floor. They are basic just a concierge (super helpful but just concierge). I didn't love the steamingly expensive restaurant they recommended (they said it was casual with nice views)... it was VERY expensive with gorgeous views but NOT casual. I always worry concierges get kickbacks for referrals.
If I returned I would just book a regular room.
The check in was very, very long (and I was told I couldn't check in for my 3 rooms on the Butler floor because it was full). Checkout was impersonal and transactional.
Staff in restaurant, housekeeping, bellman all very good.
Overall a beautiful hotel and the place you should stay in Athens. If they fixed a few things I think this could be an exceptional place to stay...More
