We stayed at this hotel for two nights in October 2011.
This is a hotel that stands apart - it is modern, luxurious, spacious and very clean. You must make sure that you make the time to have a drink/bar meal during your stay, as although rather expensive, the atmosphere is amazing!
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we felt that 25 Euros per hard was a little on the steep side. Instead we walked the approx 2/3 kilometers (about a mile and a half) into the centre of the city.
So this hotel isn't slap bang in the centre, but I prefer that. It is just a short walk from the Metro stop for the Botanical Gardens, which are located adjacent to the hotel.
The rooms were very spacious - VERY spacious. I use an electric powered wheelchair, and had booked an accessible room with wheel in shower. However, my friend was staying in a regular room and this was the same size. The decor and lighting is extremely relaxing and provides a lovely ambiance to the room at night.
A couple of nice features are the easy chair and footstool and the complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. The coffee maker (a Philips Senseo) was a bit of a waste of space, and only one coffee pod was supplied, so unless you take your own, that limits you to one tiny cup of coffee each. Creamer or milk would be a useful addition, and perhaps a couple of tea bags, but maybe I am just being too Bristish here!
We found the hotel very quiet, the beds and bedding extremely comfortable and all the staff in the hotel were very polite and helpful and spoke excellent English. They provided us with directions to an ATM machine and local shop.
My biggest regret is that we didn't get to spend more time in the hotel - we were far too busy seeing what Brussels had to offer, but we were lucky as the weather was scorching!
I would definitely recommend this hotel, combined with Eurostar this was perfect for a romantic weekend away.
