Good location 15 mins from centre all downhill.Only 3 Euro for taxi back although the walk is not too demanding. If arriving by air take Metro to Carolina Michealis hotel is 10 min walk. Very modern refurbished building with nice minimilist feel, bar and decked patio off reception. Room good size with wide comfortable twin beds, TV and internet connection. En suite bathroom really top notch fitments fully marble tiled. Breakfast buffet with wide selection of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses and hot dishes. Breakfast perhaps a bit expensive if you don't get a deal. Staff were very friendly helpful and professional one even being able to mimic our Scottish accent. We were provided with town plan and advised of routes , restaurants ,travel and our enquiries about out of town areas. Dont miss fish restaurants at Matoshinos or beach at Foz Do Duoro as well as the nightlife at Giai. We stayed Sunday and Monday booked on line and on returning from Lisbon managed a vacancy on Friday without the breakfast.
At 69 Euros a twin room this Hotel was excellent value. if returning to Porto I would not consider staying anywhere else..Bill Copeland Scotland

We were very impressed with the hotel Eurostar Das Artes as it is a modern and clean hotel in a great location. The room was nicely decorated, large and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast was buffet style and offered an excellent selection of fresh fruit, pastries, cooked breakfast and so on.

One thing to mention is the hotel has its own parking for €10 per night aswell as waiting space outside. We parked in the latter for 3 nights as the receptionist advised this was okay. On the fourth day we awoke to find our car had been towed away! We were then advised that the spaces were for dropping off purposes only. We can only put this down (kindly!) to a misunderstanding with the language. The hotel staff including the manager were less than helpful (putting it politely) in getting our car back which we found spoilt our otherwise pleasant stay at the hotel.

This hotel is very modern and contemporary with young staff, modern art and a hip feel. We were provided with a free bottle of wine & fruits as part of our very reasonably priced deal which also included a great buffet breakfast each day. Our double room came with balcony and overlooked the road but it was sufficiently quiet. Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, in-room safe, what more could one want. The river front is about 15 - 20 min walk away but the views en route are great. Bring your walking shoes, the city should be explored on foot to appreciate its beauty.

Nice, hotel, 90% of rooms on quite garden, rest on a quite street. Very comfortable, retro-design rooms, easy access from airport by cheap city-bus and 10 minutes walk to city center. Breakfast is really fine, fresh juice and all. Convenient city maps at reception. Free internet in the room. Just ask for a free cable at reception to connect your laptop. There is one pc for public use in the lobby. Be aware that making a phonecall in the room is not cheap, 6 minutes within Portugal was 4 Euros! Go and Enjoy.

free wired internet access at guest room.
expenssive breakfast, try the cafe just in front for much less.
the hotel has a parking lot, which is essential for Porto.

overall good experience and good service.
while in th ecity try the pastry shop nearby- as the receptionist how to get the Palacio Cafe, which is in front of the hospital, with an excellent selections of cakes and desserts.
