Description: The restaurant in Porto " Atrevo" where your 5 senses dance synchronised to the art of celebrating food. Why don't you dare and have a try to some of the most scrumptious, lip smacking dishes made with so much love and passion by our Chef Tânia Durão and her team?

This restaurant is spectacular. The tasting menu is a total bargain at 39 euro each, and the matched wines are insane and perfect. We loved it so so much. Would recommend it to any foodie.

Fantastic food, service and choice of wines at reasonable price. The clam and saint Jacques bulhão pato, the squid stuffed with shrimp were particularly good. After we discovered that broad beans can be a delicate food with red pepper foam and the vanilla actually tastes wonderfully on potato... The pairing wines were really pairing, and some of them unique. And for those thinking, as I did before, that “jeropiga” was not a noble drink, try this one. You will never forget the experiences you get at this restaurant hidden in a non touristic part of Porto but at 20 min walk from Ribeira.

Chef Tania and her crew are incredible, the food exquisite, her passion and attention to detail make for an incredible culinary dinning experience. The parings of wine with each dish elevated both the wine and the dish. We started out our evening with craft butter infused with eucalyptus honey, olive oil from the Duro region. Then we had the most delicate scallop with clams, sea urchin, asparagus, and a pesto. Then to clean our palate we had a lemoncello foam with a raspberry foam, incredible. Followed by steamed sea bass, squid stuffed with a shrimp mixture bathed in an incredible fish sauce with dried beet root with diced carrots and beets, this was just amazing. Then I had a dish I could never imagine of san jorge cheese foam with a red pepper foam with the most delicious fava beans with a black trufle egg cookie ...just amazing...the next dish was veal, potato with vanilla and a mushroom with some incredible sauce topping. Dessert was fascinating to admire and enjoy, the creativity was something to be admired. The first plate was a cheese cake without the cake, with pomegranates and foam with an edible flower. The second dessert was a brioche on syrup torched with chestnuts with a Jeropiga reduction sauce on top. I didn't mention the parings but we started with a Madera wine, Arinto, Dao, Colheita Tardia, and Jeripiga. Can't say enough other than what a pleasure it was to give witness to a crew with such amazing passion and to experience the pleasure of their passion in the food we consumed.

Atrevo! Shout the name from the rooftops of Porto. A small restaurant with a big big heart. It's eight course tasting menu is a delight and the wine pairings fabulous. But the stars of the evening are the staff. They warmly welcome you. They guide you, inform you, cosset you. You'll leave this restaurant with a smile on your face, friends in your heart and a promise to return.

A group of us travelling through Portugal arrived early innPorto with no reservations for dinner, we decided to walk around and see what we could fine. We were fortunate to find this cute little spot with a cancellation table for 4. We had a great time and a great meal. The menu was delicious and creative, and the service was excellent! It felt like we were guests at a dinner party in this intimate restaurant where the staff shared a laugh, their love of food and wine, and little personal stories. This was by far my favourite dining experience in Portugal. I have a feeling if I ever get to go back again there is going to be a very long wait for a reservation.
