I stayed at Collector's for two nights while in Braga.

The place has everything a good hostel needs.

Nice and clean rooms, a central location, knowledgeable and helpful staff that will help you with anything, a manager that cares about issues big and small. Do not forget to ask for recommendations concerning bars and restaurants.

The hostel is nice and small, therefore take care to book well in advance.

The hostel was surprisingly great! Really nice people who are working there. It was really in the central of Braga and there was such a nice view in the evening on the Terrasse with the shine shining on it. The breakfirst even had fresh fruit and 100% fresh pressed orange juice.
I would just recommend to eat dinner somewhere else, because the kitchen is quite small and not really food equipment :)
Thanks guys !

The hostel is on the top floors of an old building. There's no elevator, but if you're reading a hostel review, you're probably young and agile. The multilingual owner will welcome you, show you around and offer suggestions on what to do and where to go and will be happy to book a table at a restaurant for you or arrange a taxi ride.

We had the double room with private (external) bathroom. This room is on the same level as the kitchen, dining area, living room and office, so if you're hoping for some peace and quiet during the day, you will be at the mercy of the very talkative owner and of the guests. The guests are more considerate and quieter than the average hostel guest and it will be quiet from 11pm to 8am. At which point you may be woken by the bells of the numerous churches in the vicinity (no double glazing). The mattress was soft and the pillows firm; I'd prefer it the other way round. On the plus side, the room had its own air-conditioning unit, electric blinds, a clothes line with pegs, we were provided with towels free of charge, the room price included a (simple) breakfast and the hostel felt secure.

Overall, if you're (feeling) young, sociable and thrifty, Collector's Hostel offers good value at a very central location.

This hostel is quite small, very cozy place right in the center of Braga. Even though it is centrally located, it isn't noisy. It has very unique decor with different small collected items, like cups, plates, key chains and so on. It has vintage atmospehere, but it's not old at all and recently renovated. The owner and her employees are very friendly and helpful with suggestions about places to see or have a bite and they can explain the most important things about the city to you right away. I would definately recommend this hostel for your stay in Braga!

This was for sure one of the most beautifully furnished Hostels I have ever been to. The antique peaces of furniture are put together with lots of style and love for detail. The breakfast table was beautifully set up in the dining room which is also full of antiques and looking out on the beautiful roof terrasse. Fruit salad was served and prepared by the lovely houselady that took like half an hour to explain me the way through the city and to the most beautiful sites of Braga at check in. So the atmosphere makes you really feel welcome and at home. I would always check in there again!

Room tip: Dorms have curtains at every bed for a little privacy
