Seek out this restaurant in Rua da Casa Branca and you will be truly rewarded. Not your run of the mill tourist eating place. Genuine local cuisine, well prepared and professionally served by friendly staff. Local fish is the speciality but the menu includes a good range of meat dishes too. Fresh accompanying vegetables, perfectly cooked. Don't be put off by the low profile of this establishment - it is far better than most of it's high profile neighbours.

We had delicious rice with sea food and the typical "espada com banana". Bread is served always fresh and warm. As desert we had "pudim de maracuja" which was really fantastic. The service was outstanding - it's a family owned business and a very personal attendance. Also very children friendly. The chef even played with our 1,5 years old baby...I completely agree with the evaluations before.

I agree with earlier reviewers with the excellent service and how delicious the food is. The name Agua n' Boca means "mouth watering" and everyhing is prepared to perfection. This really is a gem of a restaurant and we chose it as the one we wanted to return to on our final night at the end of our week. In an ordinary street, Rua da Casa Branca, the decor is understated and unassuming and the restaurant will have to rely on word-of-mouth to build up its clientele as it would be easy to pass on by. But don't - because it's the best value for money in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Having known the manager Denis from his days at Dona Amelia, and being regular visitors to Madeira since 1987, we sought out his new venture at New Year and were richly rewarded and have eaten there on subsequent visits. The food is all freshly prepared and cooked to order, the fish dishes are superb comparable with any dishes we have had at other restaurants on the island. I can recommend that you visit Aqua n Boca at least once on your holiday, you will not be disappointed.
