My wife & I were in SIntra for a week and were so impressed on our first visit here that we went back again on our last night.
We found Incomum on a fluke as we were looking for a much higher scale restaurant (recommended by our hotel) and got lost, but we were certainly not disappointed. The atmosphere is that of a local, pop-in neighborhood restaurant, but the only thing better than the food and wine was the service.
It is a relaxed atmosphere with small and close tables, but it was enjoyable feeling as though we were enjoying dinner in the real Portugal.
Between the four meals we enjoyed there, we got to sample plenty of what was on the menu. The vegetable soup was fantastic and the meals we had (beef, shrimp, risotto and cod) were all very enjoyable and accompanied by tasty vegetables. The side dish of the local bread included a cornbread which was incredibly different and delicious (so much so I ordered seconds on our last visit).
On both visits we had Catia as our server. She was so pleasant and very helpful in recommending a good local wine and explaining the dishes on the menu. She made sure our wine glasses were full and that we were happy with the dishes we ordered. She remembered us on our second visit and made us feel welcome and asked if we wanted the same wine we had the week before, which we found to be amazing that she remembered.
On our first visit we had dessert and the chef's own creation of tiramisu was unique and very seasonable and tasty.
All in all, the food was good, the service outstanding and the prices were very reasonable for what we enjoyed.
Incomum should definitely be on your itinerary when you get to visit Sintra and be sure to ask for Catia, you will also be impressed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Incomum. Early that day me and my partner got engaged, so we were on a bit of a high all day. We could not have picked a better restaurant to celebrate the occasion.

We loved that they offered a good selection of wines by the glass (sparkling, white, red, rose!). We enjoy ordering a full bottle normally but last night we wanted to cheers with a glass of sparkling and move on to some rose for dinner, so I appreciate the selection.

Food was phenomenal! Well presented, very well plated and the mains were delicious! Also, a fair size as well. We were completely full and satisfied. All in all we give it 5*. While the dishes are a few more euros than other restaurants, it makes sense when you experience the place. In fact the dishes are very fairly priced. But best of all...The SERVICE *****

Tony was our server, and after chatting with him a bit we realized he was one of the newer additions to the team. He was fantastic! Easy to talk to, made wonderful and thoughtful recommendations. He was super. Our only regret was that we did not have one more day to come back for more!! Thanks Tony :)

Came to his place after visiting the Pena Palace. It is somewhat close by (not walking) so we decided tk try something good nearby.
We were greeted by Marco who was amazing! His colleagues were also good but he was the heart of our dinner. Qe stated off with some nice Douro wine which he recommended and was top notch. Then they brought some olives and bread that was also quite good..... the chef (by the way, congrats chef again) prepared us an appetizer of salmon and some veggies that were VERY good and tasty.
For dinner we had fresh vegetables soup and also lobster bisque.... they were both fresh, tasty and delicious. En suite we had the carpaccio that was maybe pf the best I’ve had.... the meat tasted like fresh bresaola.... then my wife had the Lubina (branzino) that was maybe of the best she has had (said by her) with some fresh cooked sea asparagus.... this was .... mmmmm delicious. I had the duck that was also very very good.... for desert they recommend the pear tiramisu, YES, pear tiramisu..... unbelievable!!! Marinated pears in port wine and then the contrast of the mascarpone.... simply 5 star desert....
The place is cozy, clean, great service and we sat in the street overlooking some old buildings.... all in all, 5 star dinner for us....
Enjoy

We spotted this walking from the railway station towards the town centre. The outside gives no indication to how wonderful this restaurant it. The lunch time set meal was excellent value for money, the food really good, and the Portuguese wine brilliant. Don't miss this.
