InterContinental Lisbon

We had a corner room on a very high floor that gave us a magical view of Lisboa. The room make up service was slow. But otherwise, no complaints. Hotel sits "above" the main city so it was a bit of a hike to main downtown. Nice walk down, but grab a cab going back. Breakfast was nicely done Euro style. Prices are typical of any large metro hotel. Pretty much on par with Paris and NYC Intercontinental Hotels Ive stayed in. Nice hotel. I would return there.

Room Tip: find the highest floor and request a corner room looking out over the city,

Stayed on a Rewards Night basis for 3 nights. Upgraded to a park-view room on the 6th floor which was superb, spacious, air-conditioned and well-equipped, with wonderful panoramic views over the park and down to the Tagus River.
Staff were fantastic, numerous, friendly and so helpful. Great atmospheric bar serving good cocktails and local wines.
Very helpful Concierge sorted out tour bus tickets for us - the Terminus for all buses is located in the park next to the hotel - very convenient.
We were on a room-only basis, and we chose to have breakfast out of the hotel - great little cafe/bar just down the road from the hotel called Pastelaria Vontadinhas - do yummy omelettes and coffee to get you going.
Walked down into central Lisbon every day but got a taxi back up the hill to the Hotel as they were very reasonably priced and plentiful.
Highly recommended.

I booked this hotel on my experience with the New York City's Intercontinental Hotel and was immediately surprised to find the difference in the standard of quality. My room was on the 14th floor and had a very good view of the city.I did like Lisboa and could live there.
Though hotel's location was in a quite neighborhood and close to city tour buses, it was somewhat distant from the center.
My worst nightmare was the poor quality of their WiFi. For the five days that I stayed in this hotel (June 15 to 20, 2017) there was not one phone call that I was able to complete without several interruptions. I spoke with management four times regarding this problem and each time was given a different suggestion that did not work.
Breakfast was 18 euro and had a good variety of choices, however trying to pour sirup on the pancakes and waffles with a soup spoon through a small neck opening was an impossible task. When I asked for help and suggested a ladle the attended did not have one and suggested a larger spoon. Large spoon would have had a lesser chance going through the small bottle neck. I would have liked some pancakes and waffles for breakfast!
I will not stay in this Lisboa Intercontinental Hotel next time.

Room Tip: Look for upper floor rooms. This Hotel has 18 floors.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and we could not fault it. The room was a generous size with a view of the nearby park, free wifi, tea making facilities which are not normally seen in hotels abroad, and an extra large bed with such soft pillows. The breakfast was perfect with a selection of English dishes and a Continental breakfast with so many cheeses and hams it was almost impossible to choose. Omelettes were cooked if you preferred that and there was then a selection of croissants and cakes. The hotel was a little way out of the centre of Lisbon, but taxis were easily available. All in all it was one of the best hotels we have been in.

We stayed with friends prior to a river cruise and could not have been more enamored with the place. Service and amenities were above par. The service left nothing to be desired. We would o back in a nanosecond!
