Excellent location - on the Metro, within walking distance to perhaps all places of interest. Nicely refurbished into a sort of design Bed & Breakfast, although the design is not always practical (no chair/table in the room). - Very friendly service. - Spotless clean. - Breakfast is OK (the fresh orange juice praised in almost all reviews comes in one small glass only (!), on the second day there was no white yoghurt available, please bring your own müsli, white bread only is offered. - In the room, some things did not work (e.g., the minibar fridge) - this was, however, reflected in the final bill - fair enough.
My room had a window facing the inside air shaft (which I knew when making the reservation) shared with a bar on the ground floor, this proved to be a very noisy neighbourhood.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the air shaft can be noisy

We started our road trip holiday in Portugal staying in Ribeira Tejo Chiado and we couldn't have picked a better place.
The staff is amazing, they accommodated our early check in and gave is great tips. The room was a bit smaller than we expected but that wasn't a problem at all!
It was extremely clean and had a good view of the time out market and Rio Tejo.
Breakfast was simple and healthy with fresh delicious fruits and eggs.
We can definitely recommend the hotel!

Comfortable en-suite air-conditioned room (only an inside view but we knew that when booking) in a sensitively restored historic building on the old waterfront, close to the Timeout Market restaurants and the Cais do Sodre transport hub. Really nice breakfast, and helpful staff (in particular Sergio) keen to assist our stay.

Room Tip: Lift to 3rd and 4th floors; Breakfast etc is on the 5th

This was out first trip to Lisbon and we loved it! An amazing city for a long weekend (with plenty of options to stay longer and explore further afield). The Ribeira Tejo was perfect for our stay. It's very inconspicuous from the outside, but really smart and well presented on the inside. We were greeted by Sergio who gave us plenty of city tips and the whole team were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay.

The area has a bohemian feel to it (it's not super smart, but there are plenty of great little bars around, no shortage of down to earth restaurants and a couple of smart restaurants, with the Timeout Market right across the road!)

The location of the hotel is excellent. Just on the edge of the main sites, you really are just 5 minutes from central/downtown Lisbon.

Beautiful setting. Lisbon is so so so wonderful! This guesthouse--a tiny hotel!--is lovely, run by very friendly people, in a cute part of Lisbon just near the river. The breakfast was incredible: everything you could imagine, including the local nata pasteries which you must eat at every option [Go to Pasteis do Belem!]. I would love to go back. Building itself is quiet [room to room] but if windows open, then outside there are a few bars/clubs that have late night partying. Well worth it for the views and how lovely this little place was. Very relaxing.

Room Tip: We were on 4th floor, I believe; it was nice.

The Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu was once by the river… Actually only the Mercado da Ribeira and the Cais do Sodre station separate the fully renovated building of the Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu from the River Tagus. Most of the tiles from the 19th Century were renovated and can be seen from various points of the communal areas and also in some double and family suites. Take the lift to the 4th floor and simply use the stair to go up to the 5th floor, where you will find the best view at the Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu. There is nothing better than friendly and dedicated staff to welcome you and serve you a delicious home-made breakfast where you will have the opportunity of watching the ships go by, crossing under the 25th of April Bridge along with looking out to the Cristo Rei always on the lookout for any movement. Then, filled with energy you may begin your visit of Lisbon through the neighbourhoods of Chiado, Baixa and Bairro Alto which are less than a 10 minute walk-away from the Guesthouse, or if you prefer, you may also get on the No. 15 tram or the No. 28 tram to Alfama and Belem.
