The hotel has an ideal location. It on the walk up to the shrine and the church on the hill as well as opposite a huge round church with many chapels and a terrific museum. Good restaurants are in walking distance. Joining the evening candle light procession is so uplifting. But it can get quite cool and windy, so it is good to be back at the hotel quickly.

Room Tip: rooms to the back would be quieter

The Hotel Aeluia in Fatima has 50 rooms. The hotel is ideally located at the entrance to the shrine and to the Church of the Holy Trinity.
We were present on the 100th anniversary of the Marian apparition in May 2017. The prices were atrociously inflated during this time. Well, Yes, the Pope is not every day coming to Fatima and reportedly half a million worshipers were present at the ceremony.
The hotel has a free underground parking garage, that presents a huge advantage on weekends.
The rooms are comfortably furnished, They are sufficiently spacious. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is a bit narrow. The free WIFI worked perfectly. Lacking were a safety deposit box and a kettle for making tea and coffee. The room as the bathroom room was perfectly clean.
The breakfast even priced as low as € 5.- is sparse. The evening a buffet is offered for € 13.-. The price also includes the house wine. Unfortunately, the food was canteen like and lacking finesse.
A special mention to the friendliness of the hosts who were most welcoming and helpful. The hotel is good choice taking into consideration the ideal location at the entrance to the shrine and 200 meters from the bus station.

Room Tip: Higher floors to have a view on the sanctuary

We arrived Fatima by bus. The hotel is on same street just a couple of blocks away. Very easy to find and close enough when dragging luggage. Staff greeted us kindly. We were a family of 5 and they had two rooms, 2 twins with sofa and a double that shared a private hallway so that the hallway could be locked and only our 2 rooms were in it and could be left open. Perfect because it gave us 2 bathrooms. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms had small balcony that overlooked the cathedral and chapels, the grounds of the pilgrimage. Breakfast is extra and you'd be better off with a coffee and pastry from local shop. Overall wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend

I am suggesting this to everyone!
