I loved this hotel. Its style suited Fatima. We stayed in the new building, in a "family room". It had two single beds, a double pull out bed, a mini fridge, microwave, two burner stove top, small kitchen sink, table with 3 chairs, and a bathroom with tub/shower combo and a blow dryer. Hardwood floors and simple wood furniture. There is soap, but bring your own shampoo. Hotel is a very short walk to the shrine and many restaurants. There is also a restaurant in the hotel, although we didn't try it. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Having visited Fatima on pilgrimage for 10 years, we have stayed in various hotels. The Avenida is by far THE BEST.
The staff go more than the extra mile to ensure that every need or wish is catered for.
My mouth quite literally, 'hit the floor' at how eager the staff were to please.
In short, home from home. Courtesy, respect, a warm smile and a high standard of cleanliness...What more could you ask for?

The hotel is only a few minutes’ walk to the Shrine of Fatima, in a quiet street (We noticed that nearly all streets were quiet). The reception area is nicely presented, with helpful but un-smiling staff. We were upgraded to an ensuite with 2 bedrooms. For just the two of us, the room became a luxury.
Unlike Lourdes, Fatima is a quiet little town, even with the thousands of pilgrims that visit it each day. Unlike Lourdes, Fatima doesn’t offer a lot of restaurant choices. In the area we stayed, most eating outlets were hotel restaurants. There was just one cafeteria close to the hotel, and it was not much cheaper. We ended up having breakfast in Avenida de Fatima (which required an extra €9, and which was a breakfast buffet. Food quality and variety not great, but acceptable. ) and trying the other hotel restaurants for lunch and dinner.

15 min walk from the bus station. Easy walk especially when you are pulling luggage. Clean and comfortable hotel, 7 mins from the Santuary which was very important to us. Breakfast was good and sufficient. We would not have received such a spread outside the hotel which was included in our room rate.

Amused us that we were supplied plastic cups in the bathroom as they did not provide drinking glasses for water. Would have appreciated a kettle and drinking cups as the only place we could get drinking hot water was from the bar which closed at midnight.

Room Tip: Rooms with twin beds are better as a double bed is smaller than 2 twin beds

We stayed only one night.the room in the new complex was what we required.very clean and excellent shower. We had the set lunch menu which required a siesta afterwards. Staff were attentive and nothing was a bother. Would recommend this hotel and if we are ever back will definitely stay here
