Well you get what you pay for and this is certainly a luxurious hotel with an impressive interior and ambience as soon as you walk in through the door. We stayed here for 4 nights in July and really can't fault the hotel at all. We had two rooms at the front of the hotel with balconies we could sit out on which had views across the pool area to the beach/sea. The rooms were spotless and were cleaned thoroughly each day with a turn down service at night. Breakfast was outstanding with a fantastic selection of every type of food imaginable! Staff were very helpful and arranged a transfer to the airport for us (the driver was excellent and gave us a great commentary on Lisbon and its history/sites as we travelled to the airport!). The kids loved the pool (as all kids do) and we felt we were able to relax nearby as it was a manageable size pool with a lifeguard in attendance and there was also a very small pool that the youngest could paddle about in. It was just a short walk from the hotel into Cascais itself where we ate a couple of times (the hotels restaurants were quite expensive). Sometimes luxury hotels away from the hustle and bustle can feel a little soulless but this wasn't the case here. We had been in Lisbon for four nights prior to our stay here so this felt like true respite and relaxation to round off our holiday in Portugal. If I were to make a couple of minor comments, these would be that the welcome wasn't particularly welcoming on arrival (the person at reception checking us in was somewhat dour) and the extra foldaway beds that were meant to be in each room weren't there when we arrived. These had to be requested and there was a little bit of upheaval as these were brought to the rooms and put in place. However, overall an enjoyable stay with much to recommend.

The hotel is phenomenal.
Beautiful finishings, all common areas in great shape.
The bed was comfortable, good working area desk.
Bathroom had good toiletries, but the shower was not too functional with water splashing around due to missing curtain/protection.
There was a complimentary bottle of water
The pool area is very well kept, and the pool is big enough for some exercise and relaxation.
Overall a phenomenal place to stay, 10 min walk to the center of Cascais

There is nothing missing from this experience. Cascais is 40mins by train from Lisbon with all that offers. But on our door step are the beaches and history of Cascais and Sinatra. Then the hotel itself. It is wonderful. Breakfast is a treat! Rooms are immaculate and the staff so friendly and attentive

As some one who over the years has stayed away from larger hotels feeling they would be over touristy and impersonal, the Hotel Cascais Miragrem has changed my thoughts on this. The Hotel Cascais is wonderful. Great service, great location and the pool area is
is fantastic. Although slightly outside of the old city and thus a way from the crowds it is a 5 minute walk to everything. The biggest problem my wife and I had with the Hotel Cascais Miragem is that we did not want to leave.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a standard room with a view of the street behind the hotel, which is not much to speak of. However, the hotel website was very clear that standard rooms do not offer a view. This was not an issue for us because we spent all of our daylight hours at the swimming pool. The room was very well appointed and is probably quite similar to the more highly priced rooms with exception to the lack of a view. We appreciated the amenities in the room such as the bath robe, slippers, complementary water and two complementary beverages at the hotel bar. Breakfast was included with our rate and the breakfast buffet was terrific. All of the staff were courteous and spoke good English.
