This house is owned and run by Paula. It's a small, privately owned guest house, not a hotel. Everything is clean and sparkly, and she has clearly put so much thought and attention into making her guest house comfortable and homely. The breakfast was lovely, with excellent coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Nothing is too much trouble for Paula. She gave us recommendations for where to eat dinner and explained where we could park when we went into the centre of Coimbra. She is happy to chat and make you feel at home when you arrive.

Before we left, she printed out a map of northern Portugal with a suggested route and with things to do and see on our way towards Galicia in Spain.

If you want a good, clean and friendly place to stay in Coimbra, this is it!
