We had truly delicious and excellent dining experience at Faina. We started with eggs and anchovies not knowing what it would look like or taste like. It looked great, like a scrambled omelet with anchovies lying over it, and tasted even better. We followed it with cuttlefish rissoto, black rissoto flavored by cuttlefish and lightly fried cuttlefish over garlic aoili, together with nicely seared truly rare tuna with exceptional sweet potato fries on the side, accompanied by a delicious negra mole wine, a grape of the Algarve we had never tasted before. If not the very best meal we have had in our four weeks in Portugal, one of the beast. The service was attentive and helpful and the cost was reasonable.

Pre-booked and greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Recommendations given for the petiscos and wine availability.
Slight difference to other petiscos experiences in that courses followed as opposed to 'all-in' as expected.
Amejious (clams) first up. Fabulous!
Sauteed mushrooms next. Great! And fried eggs, polvo and flat chips to finish. Different and delicious.
Algarve glass of house white and bottle of red wine completed the lineup! Superb combination!
Lovely pannacotta and coffee to finish.
Large portions, lovely cooking and nice presentation at reasonable prices.
Most enjoyable visit and will be returning in future.

We ate here once. We looked god a table just before 8pm and were asked to come back at 8.30 as there were two tables of 8 guests arriving! We did come back and we were seated and we waited and we waited! Eventually a guy came and took our drinks order and told us his colleague would be back to take our food order and we waited. Eventually we placed our order for main course and again we waited and waited! Finally just as we were about to give up and just take our wine the waiter arrived with some olives bread and tuna pate which despite not ordering we decided to eat cos we were starving!
Finally the main course arrived and its the reason I gave a four star review. I had the shrimp with fries. 3 very large butterflied perfectly cooked prawns with a lovely garlic butter and proper homemade potato French fries. My husband had steak which he said was very good too and it was perfectly cooked also.
So if you don’t mind waiting for hours to be fed I would recommend the food. Undoubtedly the chef knows what they are doing not sure anyone else does

We ate here knowing that it had mixed reviews - we like more of the 'fine dine' experience but the setting on the marina attracted us. Food was more 'rustic' than some other places but we expected that. It was very tasty and the service was good - so we got what we expected which was great.

The bar restaurant looked lovely with live music. Lovely setting. However menu just plonked in front of us and very limited. Slow to return. Just ordered a drink as menu was very limited. Waiter returned with two Coke Zero with top still on. Waited another 10 mins - no return to open the drinks. Ha d to find a waiter to ask them to open our drinks. 35 minutes for a drink. Don’t waste your time visiting.
