“Nice for families”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

I have to say parisio wasn't for is as a couple in their 20s . It was nice enough modern an nice apartments , but it was all families with kids running around everywhere screaming and crying. It was awful.
The pool area was nice but again too noisy.
We went to the beach most days .
We didn't do the all inclusive thing like most. People thank goodness that was a blessing. Although I believe it was good I just needed to get out of the hustle an bustle.
We eat out and then visited the bars In old town it was a lovely atmosphere and had great bars not too rowdy .
Our car from the airport was yellow fishtransfer s com it was a short trip and quite cheap with a bottle of wine thrown in ,actually it was red we don't drink it so left it for the cleaner .
The lady driver was very nice on the way back when we said we didn't like parisio she suggested a few other places we could stay more suited to us.
On the way home we were with easy jet and our flight was delayed 3hours which wasn't pleasant. .

Albufeira itself is a very nice place, cute old town, few beautiful beaches around, busy street with restaurants and shops - everything what you need on holiday. But it's quite hilly, so not very suitable for kids in pushchairs or elderly people.
But the hotel was horrible, didn't want to stay there at all during the day, just went there to sleep. We took Half Board there, in the beggining of march...The hotel at this time (winter season for them, even though it was +20-+25 every day-summer for us) doesn't offer any facilities - no bar, no pool outside, no entertainment, no choice on the buffet at all, sometimes even they didn't do buffet to make sure that they don't waste food, so they just offered few dishes on the menu, which they could cook by the order). Although the hotel was only about 10% occupied (no young people or families at all), the reception staff just WOULDN'T GIVE the rooms with the pool view, on the sunny side AT ALL. We asked them to change our room about 3 times, cause it was next to the delivery tracks and bins entrance on the shadow side, the room was very dark whole day. I can't understand, if the hotel is empty and there's only few residents, why do they give the worst rooms out, why not to please the customers?! Reception staff said that they keep rooms on the sunny side just in case some regular american elderly couples come, who stay there every year sometimes for 1-2 month, so those customers are priority for them. But they still hadn't any bookings from them...so why not to give these rooms to others while they're waiting...it's about 150-200 rooms there! We are the family with a kid and hoped to stay on the balcony getting suntan while our kid is having afternoon nap, but unfortunately didn't happened...recpetion staff don't want to help at all, they look like they're not bothered at all about their job. ALSO we read that there was a playground in the hotel and playroom for kids, but room was closed during winter, and playground is just a swing and 1 plastic chair, so our kid was bored. That's why we didn't want to stay at the hotel. We found 1 nice playground on the same street, where is the the hotel, just a bit further, after the Villa Gale hotel, on the left side, round the corner, behind the Albufeira Municipal building. We paid just for the hotel around 600-700 pounds for 10 days HB....I don't think think it's worth it at all, cause you don't get anything for this money during the winter season there. Food was awful, so we had to spend a lot more to eat out every day, cause we were starving after the hotel's breakfasts and dinners. If they don't offer any facilities, the price should be at least twiice less, cause in summer for this money you'll get much more.
I just have to mention to the travelling families: there's a nice restaurant with lots of toys and playhouses for kids just next to the strip...I don't remember the name, but it's a family run restaurant, on one of the streets going from the strip to the hotel. Parents can enjoy themself and have a proper nice portugese meal, while kids are bisy playing there. I put a picture of that place. Restaurant is just next to the road.

Room Tip: You have to request a pool view room when you make a booking...Otherwise you'll not see the sun...

Expect better for 4*. L ooks great but we had a studio apt quite dated, everything worked, fridge was rather loud (in same area as sleeping area!) Bathroom quite large dated. Out of season so things weren't quite as advertised. Only had one meal in hotel as we didn't rate them (glad wasn't on HB or AI). Beds we're very hard which lead to lack of sleep and uncomfortable sleeping. Overall can't say that we'd go back and expect far better standard for a 4* rating.

Room Tip: Choose a 1 or 2 bedroomed apt rather than studio

Spent 1 week here over summer 2011 with 3 friends.

The resort is huge and offers apartment style accommodation which are VERY spacious. It is a little dated though, very 80s style but is OK for a 3 star and for the price you pay.

The resort is about a 10 min walk from 'The Strip' and 10-15mins walk from the beach area and is suitable for families, couples and groups alike.

Rooms have decent size balconies that either overlook the pool or the st and our 2 bedroom apartment had 2 bathrooms.

I would stay here again if I ever went back, and have actually just recommended some friends to stay there this year for their trip.

Stayed in February for 5 days and booked a 1 bedroom apartment. First impression on arrival was clean hotel and helpful staff and this continued throughout our stay. Room was clean and plenty of space. Great location.
