We stayed in one of the villas for a week, lovely and relaxing, very peaceful and quiet. Manuel was very helpful with anything that you asked him. Not a lot to do around here but only a short taxi ride into the centre for some lovely food and entertainment. Poolside bar was shut but no explanation as to why. We had a lovely sunny week, just what we needed.
Me and my partner stayed at the parque monte verde apartments mid July 2018 and can’t recommend this place enough! From arrival the owner greeted us at reception was very helpful friendly and efficient. We were put in room 19 which was a twin bed apartment situated on the second block of apartments, the room had a lovely balcony and view. The hotel grounds were beautiful and well looked after. The room was very clean and had everything you needed, you could tell parts of the room had recently been refurbished which was refreshing as some of the original hotel images seemed a little dated. Cleaners came everyday made the beds and changed the towels except on Sundays. There’s a self service laundrette if needed on site at no extra cost. The pool was fantastic with a small pool bar offering snacks and drinks, there’s a small pool for children too. Great hotel for families but me and my partner enjoyed our stay too. Plenty sunbeds no need to get up at 6am and reserve with your towel. The complex is in a great location just outside of Albufeira, no more than a 10 minute drive, which we liked because it was nice and peaceful at night time. There are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance and a brilliant tapas cafe within 2 minutes walk from the apartments, we went there every other day for lunch. There’s also a great supermarket up the road going into Albufeira with a great selection of just about everything! We rented a car and I would recommend this if you want to get out and see the rest of the Algarve we travelled into Vilamoura and Portimao which were around 30 minutes drive. I would definitely stay here again me and my partner have already been planning our stay next year. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.
This place was a really great find. We booked for one night as a fill in before the rest of our family arrived to stay elsewhere and we were so upset we were not going to stay longer. Clean and comfortable accommodation, nice communal pool and childrens garden/playarea, quiet setting and beautiful view from the slightly elevated position to the sea. We didn't have a car and was 40 minutes walk to Gale beach with kids and then 6 euro uber back. A good few places to eat /supermarket within 10 - 15 minute walk. Management are absolutely lovely, very accommodating. Will sray again!
Travelled with my mum (63) and daughter (11) for 4 nights sun and relaxation. PMV was perfect. Spotlessly clean, helpful staff, large, modern apartment with all the facilities we could have needed and more, beautiful pool area with small snack bar. Quiet and peaceful. Had takeaway from restaurant over the road on our first night and ate in there on last night. Delicious food and again lovely staff. 7 minute walk to small town with a couple of shops, restaurants and cafes and a supermarket. Not a scenic walk (along the side of a main road) but enjoyed a breakfast there one morning and a coffee and pastry another day. A wonderful relaxing break. Would definitely return. Would need a car if staying for longer than a short break but it suited us perfectly.
Stayed here for a week in July 2018. Family of four, with a 2yr old and 12yr old. It was ideal for both. We had no.6 ground floor apartment, which was just next to the pool and across from the playground.
Our apartment was spotless and very spacious. We could tell parts of it had recently been done up. Both bedrooms had loads of space. The living room also had couches (which I think was a sofa bed too), chairs, din din table. The kitchen is well equipt with cooker, microwave, utensil, fridge, freezer etc.
If you're looking for a place to chill for a week PMV is ideal. There's a restaurant across the road that does takeaway, which was ideal as we arrived in late and could get some food. There's a garage next door, so you can get water, snacks and beer/wine there. There's a supermarket and some shops/cafes about a 5-10min walk down the road where's you can nip out to get lunch. The apartments have a little cafe/bar where you can get snacks, drinks etc and it's not too expensive.
It's about 10mins in a taxi to Old town. Using the local taxi service for us it cost 12euro flat fee every time. Coming back from the old town, using regular cabs the fare was about 9euro.
However the local taxi service are great if you need car seats for kids, which the town taxis don't have. Just let them know you need a car seat and they were always able to provide one. They will come and get you from old town if you cll them for the same price. And are very reliable. Never had to wait more than 10-15mins.
We also went to Aqualand water park on a Saturday. It was great, cheaper than the rest, suitable for small children and young teens. Didn't have to queue for anything really. Lots of bed and shade available. Lots of lifeguards. The restaurant in it is the most expensive thing we've seen. 13e for a burger and chips so I'd recommend bringing your own snacks if going fr the day.
