we just came back today we stayed a week in a one bed appartment self catering on 2nd floor .What can i say as soon as we arrived we were impressed the hotel is very nice big clean 1st impressions we checked in and told our rooms(my parents came and had there own appartment) were not ready for another hour @1pm this was fine as we had a early flight so we left our cases in the baggage room and an a little look round, first look at pools wow.

Appartment was massive big living space with open kitchen very CLEAN big comfy sofa dining table,Bed room spacious we pulled out the bed from under the sofa and put it agaist our bed for our 4 year old to sleep and still had enough room in there! Bathroom clean lovely powerfull shower, patio doors from bedroom and living area open onto a huge balcony 2 sun beds and table and 4 chairs veiw over pool via the roof of downstairs but this didnt bother us.

This hotel is so clean you see them cleaning everywere as i was sunbathing by the pool i saw one maid hanging over the glass balcony to clean outside!!!! pool area always washed down every morning main pool a liltle chilly put u get over tha once your in kids pools are great couldnt get my lil one out ,

we ate most nights in a ristorante Paula's pasta cafe amazing steaks deals very good here great staff. I love how clean the place is i will b booking again for nxt year could not falt this place amazing holiday wished we stayed longer!

Room Tip: high floors better veiw to sea veiw however overlooking the pool is lovely

We spent a week in a one-bedroom seaview ground floor apartment in Alfagar, came home yesterday 18th June 2012, very happy with our week. 3 adults.
Alfagar has gorgeous gardens, lots of exotic trees and tall palms giving plenty of shade in the hot sun, groups of apartments dotted around winding paths, it's actually quite a large property but because of the clever layout, it's far more intimate as the gardens have grown up around each section. Every day we found some new facility tucked away, great for little ones and teenagers too. What a selection of pools!
That view over the ocean was fantastic - one of the reasons we chose Alfagar was because of the link to the beach below. Sant' Eulalia is a blue flag beach and spotlessly clean. Tip - don't use the steep steps at the side of Alfagar, they are tough to climb back up in the heat, instead continue on the few metres to the next exit point and take the wooden steps down. They are easier and at the bottom a new wider wooden platform was almost complete last Sunday.
The apartment: so clean, easy to keep, comfortable, good shower! We were impressed by the quality of the kitchen - marble top, decent saucepans, a kettle (hallelluia).
Could do with some other pieces of equipment, not a huge gripe and we filled in the form about that.
The mini market has lots of stuff, even if at first you don't think it.
The Alfagar staff were polite, efficient and helpful.
My husband says he'll go back if they put in egg-cups!

Seriously though, we give it a high recommendation.

Room Tip: The seaview supplement is worth it - south facing like ours would be best.

Lovely family resort. It has a four star rating this is NOT a 4 star resort it is a 3 star resort. As a 3 star resort goes its nice enough but as for a 4 star resort it falls short by miles. We paid extra for a sea view room and got a view which was 90 per cent building site and 10 per cent sea view. We then asked for another room and was basically given a pool view room but it was better than a building site however why the hell did we pay extra money not well spent!

The balcony is huge and has 2 sun beds table chairs lovely.

The main pool is freezing but you get used to it LOL so becomes a bit refreshing the jacuzzi in the middle of the main pool doesn't work which is disappointing :-(.

Food breakfast buffet starts at 8 so if your out early no breakfast for you.!

Staff are friendly enough but just do the minimum nothing special. As we have stayed in other 4 star complexes over the world this does not compare! If your looking for a good family budget holiday then yes come here if your looking for anything else if your a couple I wouldn't recommend this resort hope you find this helpful. I have been honest a fair :-)

Having stated at the sister hotel up the hill our expectations were high, but even so we were still impressed.

The one bedroom apartment was huge with a massive balcony. The self catering apartment was well equipped with good builtin air conditioning.

The pool was largely and spacious but the anti slip edge is a little too much like sandpaper. Both children were ending every day in the post with about a dozen small and sore paper cut like slices in their fingers.

The attached village provides good facilities and a modestly priced mini market.
