On our way to Porto we stayed at this hotel for one night. When we arrived there was a baptism in full swing and the hotel was very busy. We were directed to the underground car park and then shown to our room which was more than adequate with an efficient air con unit which was a life saver in view of the fact that it was in the middle of August.
The room was traditionally and simply furnished with a generously sized bathroom complete with all the usual toiletries. The hotel has a lovely restaurant with an outside terrace but because of the function we were unfortuately able to take advantage of it.
The owner however made up for it by ensuring that we were well taken care of at supper time. She dressed one of the tables outside of the hotel in the cool and assigned a young waiter to look after us all evening. Together they ensured we had a very enjoyable meal and evening, recommending an excellent wine of the region. The next morning we were able to enjoy breakfast in the restaurant area and outside terrace and this was very well presented. All in all thank you Hotel Acez for a brief but very pleasant stay and we will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended.More
