I booked this hotel at the last minute during a road trip in Portugal. It is tucked away in a quiet corner in Évora yet close to everything you will want to see. The hotel is in a beautiful old building with tons of architectural details. The rooms are very clean and quaint. Bathrooms are tiny but typical to Europe. Service was excellent.

The hotel is beautiful and fits in perfectly with the rest of Evora. You will be enchanted here and the staff is friendly, helpful and serves up a delicious breakfast. I easily walked to all of the sites in Evora but was happy to be a block or so away from the main plaza (for quiet).

Very reasonable hotel where price and quality matches perfectly.
Nice breakfast and very polite staff.
Downside is the public parking in front of the hotel and it's poor ticket vending machines - only being able to receive money for five hours of parking. Upside was the parking patrol that told us that he was in duty from 09:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. which made it a bit easier to pay for the parking.

I stayed at Hotel Solar De Monfalim one night in May 2018. It's a 2 star hotel it was very hard to find. I ask someone. The hotel in on a dead end street. The hotel looks like a palace. It's $50 Euros a night. Upstairs they have like a open air al fresco which is lovely. The breakfast was a buffet and was almost on a par to a 4 star hotel !!!. They have two lounges for guests to relax. I love the azulejos tiles on the stairs. My room was a long walk thru a corridor near a courtyard. They give you a key to the room. And you must leave key to receptionist at lobby when you go out. The rooms are basic a t.v, bed, a surprise mini-fridge, closets , a tub. They have a side entrance in the back of the hotel. Around the corner is a very good Italian restaurant called pane & vino. The hotel staff speak excellent english. Oh the only drawback is the Wi-FI wasn't that good and was slow.

Room tip: The rooms to the back have a side entrance to hotel.
