Super setting beside the sea & fine cliffs BUT seriously dangerous stone stairs with no hand railings & far too low parapets on upstairs areas & some internal stairs with deep stone drops. The bar/dining room is largely devoid of character & the dinner menu is at best unusual - only the prices indicate what are starters & what are main courses. The village itself is quite uninteresting & in my view 2 nights is the maximum one should contemplate staying at this location or hotel. All of that said our visit to the "Deep Mani" area was interesting, most of the scenery is spectacular & all helped by having read Paddy Leigh Fermor's book on the area: "Mani".

Room Tip: unobstructed sea view is imperative & privacy can be an issue as people walk right past one's bedroom window - they have no choice !

This place is quite stunning - location directly on the sea away from centre of town in an historic building
I had read a lot about this place and it looks even better then internet shows which is not often the case
We were not staying but viewed a superior seaview room which was traditional stone but modern and warm with added art
You have access to a pool and a strip of rock very close by with loungers and parasols
where you can access sea directly
It is paradise if you just want to unwind as the area is quite isolated and ther eis not much alternative restaurants in the town of quality we were informed
We had the special of the day which was aubergine tempura - delicious although it could have had lighter batter

Stumbled across a reference to this in an online summary of the Mani area of the Peloponesse and booked it based on both location and others' reviews. Prices being so reasonable, we booked the large suite with three walls of windows looking at the ocean, cove, and village of Geromilenas. The room was fantastic, the bed (in a loft above) so comfortable, the staff professional and friendly, and the restaurant specializing in regional Mani cuisine serving some of the best food one would find in a cosmopolitan city. While appearing remote, we found it quite easy to take interesting day trips as well as enjoy the ambience and facilities at this very special hotel.

A stylish and comfortable hotel in a spectacular location. The staff were friendly yet professional. The cooking was of a superb standard and made the most of local ingredients combining flavours in a refreshing and innovative way.

Room Tip: The two level rooms have steep stairs. Sea views are wonderful.

This is a stunning little hotel on the edge of a little fishing village way down in the south of the Mani.

The hotel itself sits on the waters edge and is tranquil in the extreme. The rooms are beautifully done-out with simple and tasteful decorating. The sea view rooms are a little bit more expensive but are well worth it.

The staff are charming and relaxed; many are happy to chat about the hotel and the region or just pass the time of day. The front desk staff (which includes the owner) are super helpful and are happy to suggest walks and places to go.

The restaurant is brilliant - it is busy most evenings. The food reflects the local style and is beautifully presented and is good value for really top quality local cuisine.

This was four days of bliss.
