We were so looking forward to experiencing the cooking of a man who has held three Michelin stars. Unfortunately we left disappointed.
The food was very average, at best; our wine needed decanting through a filter, but this seemed beyond the capability of a restaurant manager, full of his own misguided self-importance.
My desert was vanilla ice cream with an indifferent chocolate sauce; I don’t remember what I ate for the other courses!
The only thing 3 star was the massive bill; the worst value meal of our three-week holiday.
There are much better and more reasonably priced restaurants in beautiful Bruges.

The best dining experience I've ever had thus far. The chef is devoted entirely to exalting first-rate ingredients. The dishes are classical, the flavours intense, and the sauces to die for! The pheasant is 10 out of 10.

The best service as well. Charming, friendly, personable. We even had a private dining experience and everything was just perfect and lovely. I may not be in love with Bruges, but I would come back in a heartbeat just for Zet'joe. Extremely memorable. No visit to Bruges would be complete without dining here.

Chef Geert Van Hecke definitely knows his business. Previously the owner of a 3 star michelin resto in Brugge, he recently decided to accommodate to his older age and lower down a bit the pressure that these standards require. He is considered the oldest starred chef in Belgium. The quality/price ratio is definitely worth it and I would suggest it to anyone pass by this beautiful city. The taste for interior design was also really appreciated: lots of beautiful paintings in which you can lose yourself while eating his tasty and beautifully presented dishes.

Restaurant is a 7mins walk from the central Grote Markt. Dining place is homely and friendly; seemed like everyone knows everyone!

We had the Le Plat Pays, which cost EUR 89 each. Halibut (w goose liver) and the smoked eel (w green caviar) were tasty starters, and colorfully presented! Had the baked cod fish and duck “col vert” as mains; they were soft and cooked to the right level.

Received a pleasant surprise; Chef Geert came over to greet us, and Mireille made us feel very at home.

Services to the dinners were impeccable. Filip the Maitre D, is so professional, impressive and made us so at ease too.

We had our lunch at the restaurant. We deceided to have the lunch of the restaurant. We got amuse bouche, 3 small appetizers, 1 main dish, dessert and some sweet stuff afterwards. It was real remarkable. We really enjoyed it and it was worth its price. The chef used to have a 3 star restaurant. We really enjoyed the food and we'll return for sure.
