We stayed five nights the first week of October and wish we had booked for a longer stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It's within very easy walking distance to Ghent's historic district. The stop for the tram, which we which took to the train station for day trips to Bruges and Brussels, was 2-3 minutes from our front door. The 17:00 check-in was a little tough because we had been traveling since the previous morning but our stay there absolutely great.
The apartment was perfect for us. We stayed four nights, in the middle of a two week trip. We loved Gent. The apartment was large and comfortable. It was my husband and our 14 year old daughter. We were welcomed with Belgium beer and there was coffee supplied. It was great having a washing machine, though, the drier was not very powerful.
We did have a bit of confusion as to which apartment we were renting- think that could have been made clearer on the info sent. Otherwise we loved the apartment and the location. Everything was spotless, we received an email welcome packet with info for local sights, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend!!
Simon's flat is in an excellent central location with a small supermarket for essentials a very good restaurant and trams just at the end of the road, yet even so, the area is a very quiet and peaceful place for a holiday base. The light and airy apartment was spotless, very well equipped and comfortable. We would have liked more mirrors in the bedrooms and a full length mirror somewhere, and although the blinds on the windows are modern and suit the decor, we were wary of raising and lowering them too much for fear of damaging them! This did not detract in any way from our enjoyment of the apartment and of Ghent as our chosen holiday destination. We would certainly recommend this to friends and would very happily visit again. Thanks, Simon!
A group of friends and I stayed at Simons place for 3 nights. The apartment was incredibly clean, very well located and had all the amenities we needed. The washing machine and dryer were very useful and the beds very comfortable. Being able to walk into town everyday made a huge difference. When we arrived, we caught a taxi from the train station which was easy and cost about 10 euro. Simon gave us many recommendations of things to do and places to eat with accurate descriptions and maps. He was also easy to contact at all times. Thanks Simon!
Very easy to find the apartment with parking literally at the end of the street. We were able to park the car there for 4 days and pay on departure. The apartment itself was a good size, was very clean and had everything we needed including tumble dryer, washing machine, iron and a complimentary bottle of wine! The shower was always hot and the beds are insanely comfortable! The location is excellent and allowed us to walk into the centre of Ghent within 5 minutes meaning no transport costs. The street was relatively quiet at night but you can hear every move the upstairs neighbours make on the floor. The only improvement I would suggest is to have an extra mirror or two, maybe in the bedrooms, as 6 people sharing a bathroom mirror can get crowded :-) Would definitely book again!
