I lived four years in Japan, and once in Brussels I struggled to find a Japanese restaurant that is actually run by Japanese. This is it. A family owned restaurant with a touch of Izakaya. Sober and calm atmosphere, ideal for couple but also business and amateurs alike. The menu is printed though Japanese characters are handwritten, the woman is in Kimono and is helped by a young boy, the father is in the kitchen. Soft music in the background. Wood all over the place. Sake bottles with people's name hang on the counter. Most importantly, the food is great. I don't say it's anywhere sophisticated fine dining. I mean it is great authentic Japanese recipes.
