Lots of innovative tasty dishes served by a friendly staff in a cosy atmosphere.

Warm welcome. Interior cozy almost rustic. Airy & light with lots of windows (tho' do not go for the food, "just" a superb time and the food!) Lots of choice on offer, healthy and home made, lots of organic and vegetarian choice available. Inventive & varied breakfasts. Something for everyone, even American :-) Service is attentive, sweets are to kill for. Nice selection of teas & hot coffee served in style & with a smile. Vaulted ceilings & brick walls. Toilets upstairs so that's not totally "access" for wheelchairs or limited mobility. But they've done a lovely makeover of what was years ago a small ice cream on a pedestrian only street right behind the high street, sports complex & pool, and town hall. Fairly large parking area there. You can also book groups in the large (more modern) upstairs. You must try!!

Even if I'm not into vegan and vegetarian food, I have to admit I loved this place.
The Zigz Sunny dish was delicious, with plenty of flavors.
The bagels are also super tasty.
Staff is kind, and nice.
Highly recommended place in Waterloo for a lunch or a brunch.

Waterloo isn't especially known for edgy or innovative concepts in food or retail, but this place is a great exception.

*Food: comfort food meets health cuisine. You get satisfying and tasty choices that make choosing (and stopping) hard. On the plate the flavours are pure and sometimes surprisingly exciting.
*Service: super friendly and attentive and ready to make some good suggestions. During rush time, it took some time to get our dessert order across. The staff were also cool and unstuffy, the chef even revealed us his love for garlic kimchi. There was also a really relaxed way in handling "not on the card" options for our kid. I particularly like this american level of relaxed but client centric service!
*Pricing: considering the quality and the rather "upscale" location the prices feel fair. Pain Quot is def not cheaper!
*Venue & vibe: feels Brooklyn meets Brussels, some tweakings are necessary to stay sharply in concept. My Tip for the interior designer: Keep the rock 'n roll - lose the kitsch - add just an ounce of design coherence. Other visitors were friend groups, couples, families ... new generation bcbg rules as this is W'loo.
*Various: clean toilets/did not detect nappy change room/parking on street/steps for entering and stairs for toilets/open on Subdays: yeah!!!
*Would I go back?
Well what can I say, I already planned to go back next week to try everything I didn't order yet :-)
Hope they stay on top of their game: job well done!

Thank An R
