Booked on the recommendation of friends in Rotterdam and were not disappointed. Location is good for Braintree and access by car from motorways. 4 stops on the metro is Blaak, so not too bad. Staff were really helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile. The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast good quality. Being one of the larger buildings in Rotterdam, the view from the 17th floor is also pretty good. The only downside, which I suppose is a consequence of being in the Netherlands was the potent smell of Cannabis in the corridor. Staff assured us this was not normal and that the offending guests will be challenged. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend

This hotel was amazing! We stayed in the 15th floor with a breathtaking view over Rotterdam.

The staff were so kind and lovely. We felt welcome right away!

The restaurant was great! The food was wonderful and the waiters/waitresses so polite and professional!

Breakfest was fresh and had many different options to choose from.

We went to the centrum by car and there was a great parking hall that we used right in the middle of centrum, so therefore even the location of the hotel was great.

Thank you for a lovely experience in Rotterdam!

We definately recommend this hotel to everyone!

Vest regards,
The Pelli family

Clean, good value, exactly what we wanted. 15 minutes from City Center by taxi. Safe and quiet area. Only downside would be lack of food or restos near by. Nothing within walking distance. Rotterdam is a cool city we were pleasantly surprised.

We booked the Novotel Brainpark for a family stopover in Rotterdam. The hotel's located out on the edge of the city and has plenty of parking so may be most attractive to those arriving by car, although we came by public transport and found it was easily accessible by tram or metro - 10 minutes' walk from the Erasmus University and Oude Plantage tram stops and 15 minutes' walk from the Kralingse Zoom metro station, all of which offer quick and convenient links to the city centre. However, as public transport is so expensive for single trips in Rotterdam it would probably be easier/cheaper to get a taxi to/from the centre. Taxis seem to always be available outside the front of the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms comfortable although beginning to show their age a bit and would benefit from refurbishment. We were on the 8th floor and got a great view across Rotterdam. Apart from the rather remote location, there are a few other downsides to the hotel. Breakfast while good is very expensive - there is a convenient alternative though at the Erasmus University Food Plaza, just 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. Use Google maps to find it or you may get lost like we did! There all sorts of choices there - including Starbucks etc. Housekeeping seemed very hit and miss - the corridor we were in had trays of uneaten food lying around in the corridor for more than 24 hours. The hotel is well located for a visit to the Trompenburg Botanic Garden and Arboretum (15 minutes' walk away) which has a nice cafe and beautiful walks through woodland and gardens, but all other attractions in Rotterdam involve a bit of a journey - the city centre is around 15-20 mins away on the tram. There is a small gym on the top floor with a superb view across the city.

Room Tip: Rooms on the city side of the hotel on upper floors get great views across the city centre skyline

Even though the hotel is listed in Rotterdam it’s located in the city entrance, by the university and business park. So if you are interested in going out at night to the city center- you will need a car. The hotel is more suitable for people who are planning on day trips to nearby attractions, for spending time in Rotterdam itself- you should find something more central. The hotel is clean and nice. Rooms were in a decent size. We had 3 suitcases and a baby-stroller and we were able to fit it all with still some space left. Staff was very helpful. They offer free parking by the hotel which is always great. Overall a great hotel, highly recommend.
