We were recently in Rotterdam to visit relatives and watch the world Triathlon championships and stayed at the Hotel Bazar. I was originally looking at another hotel but my cousin suggested this location as an alternative. This is a boutique hotel and each room is decorated with interesting geographic themes, we stayed in two and each had it's own appeal, the large Africa room was outstanding.
What can I say about the Restaurant other than is is packed all the the time because of the great food. The location can be bit noisy at night because it is on the happening street in Rotterdam with lots of bars, restaurants, cafes and close to the harbour, Museums and Markets.

I recently came to Rotterdam on a break to be disappointed by the hotel we had booked. We arrived at Hotel Bazar to be treated with excellent service. (Unfortanley I can not remember the staffs name who helped us but woudl like to say a big thank you). The staff that we spoke with went above their call of duty to help out two people who were stranded in the different country with nowhere to stay as we had been let down by the original hotel.
Staff were friendly, very professional and deserve to receive more than five stars.
The hotel itself-was lovely and relaxing and very different to what we would be used to. The rooms are very quirky but cozy and clean. Would definitely go back again.

The interior decoration of this restaurant / hotel combination is very different from what you normally see. It is dreamy, romantic. If that floats your boat, this is an definite option. The location at the Witte de With straat is great.

Themed rooms are the big feature of this hotel. We stayed in the Africa room first night but it was so noisy from street noise we asked to be moved to the back.
The rooms are lovely and the staff amazing nothing is too much trouble but be aware this is on one of the busiest streets in the city and especially at the weekend the traffic noise is constant even into the early hours as are noisy pedestrians going to surrounding bars.
This is not the fault of the hotel.
If you want to be in the centre of stuff this place is for you but if you want a quiet hotel go elsewhere.
The hotel itself is spotless and lovely.
Breakfast the best I've had anywhere
