Very nice hotel in the middle of Rotterdam. We booked a riverside room, but got upgraded to a nice suite with a bath in front of the window: marvellous! The beds are amazing, the food is great and the staff is really nice. Would recommend!

I reserved a room with a partial view of river. Lovely. The room is a little odd sized because it is a refit from a former office and HQ of the Holland American Line. The twin beds were comfortable, and nice crisp percale sheets, Loved the pillows! Nice to have a bathroom with two sinks. The towels are not luxury, but typical quality in the Netherlands. If you are from the USA you are accustomed to more luxurious towels in hotels.

I visited with my older mother who was born in Rotterdam. The staff left a nice postcard note welcoming her back 'home' and we were given a room convenient to the lift. very thoughtful touches. The entrance(s) to the hotel are a little confusing - not clear what is the main entrance, and all of the access points are stairs. It was an extra effort to carry two baggages on wheels. I did see a disability lift, so technically accessible.

The restaurant and outdoor terrace was lively with people on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Highlight of the breakfast buffet was freshly squeezed orange juice.

Very convenient location to explore Katendracht, and the Fenix Food Factory.

Take the Rotterdam Taxi to/from center of town. The Hotel New York has its own water taxi stop. Fun!

Nice Hotel with very helpful staff. We had a Room with the River view which was brilliant. The NY Basement Restaurant was very good with a good choice of wines and the staff was just brilliant helping us to plan our next day and reserving a table for lunch in a different Restaurant. We will surly be back as we really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Any Room with a Harbour view recommended. We saw the AIDA Perla comming into the port in the dark. WOUW

We stayed here 3 nights for a planned Dutch bike tour. The hotel is historic in contrast to a modern skyline. Was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded our room to a balcony room with a fantastic views. The retro black and white tile bathroom was large. The room ceilings were tall and the windows overlooking the bay covered an entire wall. There wasn’t a small fridge but the front desk would have water or ice delivered. The hotel staff were helpful in locating our bike info and bikes were located by the front entrance. If you stay here ensure you opt for the breakfast because it’s delicious with lots of options, even a chef to make you an omelet. I didn’t want to leave here and definitely plan to return.
