We had a really wonderful stay at Hotel ann de Dam this July. It is a beautiful old house, very tastefully decorated. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The breakfast was superb, and having a collection of old vinyl and and a record player was a delight. Thank you, we can't wait to return!

Not a typical tourist hotel but the home of a wealthy citizen built centuries ago in a city that celebrates its 800th anniversary. The reception is friendly, but limited to daytime. So, after a delicious dinner in the neighborhood, late in the evening one has to find his comfortable bed without the guidance of locals. Although the hotel is located in the heart of the city, it is quiet, especially the spacious rooms on the garden side. After a simple but nice breakfast the next day it is time to go on enjoying life in Zeeland.

A beautiful boutique hotel. We stayed in the Lipperhej room which was wonderful. A large room with huge windows looking out onto the garden and sumptuously furnished. The bathroom was also luxurious with a wooden bath tub + double rain shower (yes - really two showers in the shower room!) We loved the wallpaper in our room and in the breakfast room. The record player and records was a nice USP (although unfortunately not working properly in our room). The breakfast room was also very attractive - or you can have breakfast in the garden. Not a particularly sumptuous breakfast (a bit of tomato or cucumber would have been a nice addition to the cheese and ham) - but quite sufficient with good coffee and fresh orange juice. The hotel is very well located very close to the pedestrian zone. Parking is available right outside the hotel. Middelburg is an attractive place for a weekend break and this hotel is highly recommended!

Room tip: We stayed in the beautiful Lipperhej suite overlooking the garden

We stayed at the Hotel aan de Dam on the recommendation of friends. It was an excellent choice, being a really enjoyable stay. The room, one of the cheapest, was large, clean, quiet and well equipped for our needs (including the HiFi and vinyl collection!)
The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive.
The breakfast was all we could ask and more.
The hotel is attractively positioned within easy walking distance of all Middelburg's sights.

Our room was huge, two big windows, beautifully furnished and there was a retro music centre and lp's to play! Remember them. Wow. Huge bathroom, with double walk in shower, wooden bath (yes, wooden) and beautiful big floral basin. All wonderfully clean. The room was furnished with amazing antiques, paintings, mirrors, books, etc. The hotel is centrally located, within easy walking distance of the town central square. Lots of things to do, see and shop. We had to pay for parking, but you get tickets from the hotel at a reduced rate. Visit Middelburg and stay at the Hotel aan de Dam.

Room tip: All the rooms are beautiful, 3 on the ground floor and then two floors above.
