All rooms of this small boutique hotel are individual & it might spoil a surprise to describe mine in more detail - but it was perfect for someone who loves maps, discovering the world (& sailing !) - beautiful furniture & touches ... it's always nice to open the door of your hotel room & be really pleasantly surprised - even if you've liked the website & read great reviews ...
I had a couple of specific little requests I needed help with during my stay & again the lovely staff very happily obliged - nothing was too much trouble ... the recommendations for eating out were also spot on for my budget & requirements.
For me, the location was beautiful - overlooking (& beside) the pretty & historic Oudegracht ('split level') canal - what a view to wake up too - & no more noise than cyclists quietly peddling past.
I can understand why the hotel is rated no. 1 in Utrecht on Trip Advisor - & I'm hoping to return - for pleasure, not business - so that I can enjoy & explore beautiful Utrecht further .... I can't imagine finding a better value hotel in the city.
NB I was travelling by foot/train & the walk to the train station is approx. 20 mins - & partly alongside the canal - you can zig-zag over several bridges if you like !More
