My wife and I love these food markets wherever we go so made a beeline for this the moment we got into Amsterdam. We actually went back again on our final day of a three day trip.
You can get here in 30-40 minutes walking from Central Station which we did on Day One to build up a mighty appetite.... we also got an Uber back for 8 euros and got a Tram back on our final day very easily for 5 euros for us both.
My top tip here is to go in the day time and Monday to Thursday when its less busy. We were here in the evening also and it gets really busy and you queue for everthing
The market has about 20 food and drinks vendors all serving a small amount of food each. We then decided to sit and graze while at the central bar.... nice
I could have gone here a dozen times and still found food to eat but we tried a small handful and all were very good.
I had a Grilled Pork Taco from the Mexican stand which was excellent and the flavours were so fresh. We had a pizza from the pizza stand and again great fresh ingredients and stunning flavours.
We had the Manchego and Iberico Platter which was a favourite. We had the Mezze Platter which was good.
There is a vast range if beers and spirits here too. My wife got hooked on the Cherry Beer I had a white beer and the Heineken and I was happy.
The staff I encountered here were great a d always answered any questions we had. This is an absolute must for anyone visiting Amsterdam who loves food
