The staff were great and the hotel was beautiful. The location was slightly out the way though. The room we were ‘upgraded’ to could only be accessed via narrowstars which we weren’t warned about and weren’t offered help with our bags. The room smelled of drains and the bed just smelled used and you couldn’t open the window. We turned off the air on but it turned on automatically at 6am each morning waking us up.

Had a great stay. Used my Amex platinum card for the $200 hotel statement credit and also got $100 hotel credit which we used on breakfast and also drinks at the super cute cocktail bar. Upgraded to the 6th floor and had a great view and air conditioning (the other couple we stayed with were on the 2nd floor and did not have AC). I also loved the free bike rentals, super convenient!

We stopped here for one night and had the biggy bunk room. It was great for the kids and there was a brilliant soundproofing curtain between the bunks and the main room. The 1930s theme was incredibly well thought out and attention to detail was really great. Would definitely recommend for those wanting to go into Amsterdam city on the tram but come back to a peaceful haven afterwards.

Perfect location, you are two tram stations from the central station. Very quiet location and yet you are near everything. The hotel has superb retro stylish, out of the box design. Amazing experience!
