We absolutely loved our stay at the Hoxton, Lloyd Amsterdam. The staff at check in were all so welcoming and helpful. The property is beautiful. Whoever worked on the design, should receive top compliments for how hip and beautiful everything is. We stayed in the Biggy Bunk-Up room with our two kids. It was so nice to have the extra space (two rooms) and a water view. Loved the touch of the window seat overlooking the water and really good tapas restaurant across the street. The room included a mini fridge where we received 4 water bottles and a carton of milk each day. We dined at the Brasserie several times, and the menu is delicious. The egg dishes at breakfast were amazing. Homemade iced tea. I ordered the salmon for dinner twice - it was that good. The restaurant space itself is also beautiful - high ceilings, cool decor, and a beautiful outdoor patio space. We also enjoyed watching the Euro Cup semi final game in the beautiful bar. The location of the hotel is also great. It was nice to be in the quieter Eastern Docklands neighborhood (lots of walking and biking paths to explore). The hotel has adult sized bikes to borrow. There is a playground and splash pad right across from the hotel that our kids loved. A grocery store that was the perfect spot to pick up fresh fruit, cheese, wine, etc. The tram is a very short walk from the hotel and you are in the heart of the city within minutes. We loved everything about our stay here. The only tip I have is to add ceiling fans in the sleeping spaces.
